Timandlesley’s how to win a dream in 10 days 11/15 NEW PTR UP!! pg. 94 has link!!!

Hey Lesley! I told Matthew about the dream ears and he said "YES"! He was happy for you guys!:cool1: OK, I nearly pee'd my pants watching Tim gallop around the restaurant AND then the lobby too funny!:rotfl: What GREAT memories! I knew the smores meant Ft. Wilderness:thumbsup2 That looks like SO MUCH FUN!!!! Matthew said "Mom, we are definitely going to Whispering Canyon Cafe next trip!" I couldn't agree more! My DH Bryan who NEVER reads TR's saw Tim and his antics and said "Now there is a man who knows how to have fun!":rotfl2: Thanks so much & looking forward to more!popcorn:: Ooooh next years plans...............decisions, decisions!:confused3

Actually I think Tim loved every minute of it. It was so funny! At the end of the first one where he did the lasso move at the end he "roped" me in and gave me a big kiss:love:

So glad you enjoyed it. That is so funny that you recognized Alex.

The Smore thing was too fun, kids had a blast. We missed Chip and Dale because we got there a bit late. But Penny and kids did that last year with Chip and Dale and loved it, so I would give it a try.

Yes, he was actually singing very loudly actually, but you are right we were going so crazy you couldn't hear him at all, but the actions speak a thousand words!
Lesley

Fine by me::yes:: You might have to spend the entire day here
what with responses and new installments:surfweb: I say you should
see the world at christmas. Christmas week is a zoo I admit but it is
so worth it. The decorations and holiday spirit are just wonderful:santa:
I would recommend staying at WL as the decorations there are at the
top of the best list....what do ya think, can ya save up enough $$$$
in six months??:confused3 Any desire to get in the holiday spirit at
the most magical place on earth??:santa: :santa: :santa:

I'm so enjoying you're tr! That sounds like a day to go down in history, where else could you have that much fun. I loved that video of Tim, the people in the lobby that did'nt know about WCC's antics must of thought he was off his rocker :rotfl2: My DH would have hid under the table, two thumbs up Tim! Linda :)

Awesome update! I LOVE the video of Tim...that is so cool that he would be willing to do that - we already new he had a great and fun personality!
I have always wanted to do the water mice at CBR but we haven't done it yet. I have to look into that smore thing at FW :thumbsup2 .
Looking forward to your next update!!

I told Brian what Tim did at Whispering Canyon and he looked at me and said

"No Way" I loved the look on his face when I told him....lol

Tim is such a good sport...I loved the video of him riding the horse...haha

I brought up the idea of renting the "mice" while we are there and everyone is for it. Is it real expensive? Is that what one of the AAA vouchers can be used for?

Can't wait for the next installment....:thumbsup2

I'm still pretty far back, what with this thread moving at lightning speed and all. ;) I wanted to comment on your MGM day.

BUMMER on the mister fan! I always think that stuff like that can't happen in the happiest place on earth, but I guess you just never can trust everyone!...even in Disney. :sad2:

I'm glad that you got your strawberries, kids got their candies, and everyone got a pick-me-up. (what did Tim get?)

After reading 2 previous years of TR's from you, I found myself feeling so excited for all of your "firsts", like Luke's first time on RnR! It's been surreal to follow along with your family and I hope that you'll be around and I'll be here to read for years to come! One day maybe we'll see pictures of Lauren's Disney wedding!;) :rotfl: (I'm sure you're not ready to think about that though!)

Your meal looked yummy! Do you know if the burgers are available for dinner? I don't remember it on the menu last year.

Those shakes are wonderful!

Thanks for the pics and video on Toy Story Mania! I can't wait to ride!

I'm relieved to hear that y'all eventually got the charger situation underway.

But I must read about it tomorrow. I have to get some sleep now.

I wish I could stay up all night and catch up here! It's so much fun!

Man oh man, I can't believe how long this is already, you guys ROCK! Thanks so much for everyone for reading, getting into our trip along with us and posting.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
TOTALLY understandable!!!

I REALLY don't mean to be rude but think I can only keep up by posting replies to those who post questions, is this o.k. with everyone? Life is crazy busy here right now with being at home with the kids, trying to keep them busy, getting ready to go out of town to Gatlinburg, Teaching 3 courses for University of Phoenix plus having 7 mentees for UOP right now plus writing the report that I'm trying to keep my head above water:scared1: , I really hope that's o.k. with everyone because it's not my typical style.
BTW, I meant to tell you that I start now full time with UoP on Tuesday! I'll be full time faculty in the workshops and training division! What a long process to be hired full time but I think it will be worth it. It's big changes for me but I'm looking forward to it. I've been teaching part time for them for two years now and jumped on the full time opportunity. WISH ME LUCK!!!

So when should we book next years trip? Where should we go? Should we mix a cruise in? Stay at WL again? Give Boardwalk a try (Luke's pick)?? Go back to POFQ and save a buck??:confused3 Decisions decisions decisions.

Lesley
Cruises are TONS of fun, but really expensive. I'd suggest doing this if you can cruise in the off season OR if you can fit it into your budget. Do you think you'd be able to handle a shorter park trip into it and be ok?

The Boardwalk Resort? Well, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there. We've stayed there (in the villas) several times and I think you'd honestly fall in love with it. It's a PERFECT location, gorgeous accomodations and there is so much to do in this area. Seriously look into it. Let me know if you have any questions about the resort or area. I'd be happy to help.

Here's something I was thinking about.
Have you ever considered buying APs for your family? You can get APs and say go to WDW for the second week of June one year. Buy the DDE for HUGE discounts on food (this works out to a better deal $$$ in comparison to the DDP for our family, not sure if it'd work for yours), possible big discount on room, etc. THEN the following year you'd use the SAME tickets to go the week prior in June before your tickets expire.

This way you get two trips out of one pass and save some money overall.

Any thoughts?

I have been away from the DIS for a little bit, but I was thrilled to come back to another Timandlesley TR! That video of Tim in the lobby had me cracking up! :rotfl2: Can't wait for more fun!!!

I agree with Melody, we prefer the cruise, but my kids only like the parks for 2 or 3 hours, and your family seems to love the parks, and even after 10 days you are still eager for more. A cruise is a very different from the nonstop pace of the parks. You enjoy the sit down meals and the characters which is a big part of the cruise, so I think if you could do 7 days in the park with less meals and more park time, and then a 3-4 day cruise you would be happy, but to do 3 or 4 days in the park and then a 3-4 day cruise I think you would feel like you missed so much at the parks.

I did a trip report of our cruise if you are interested.

My baby was sleeping and I didn't' feel like cleaning... soooooo
I made you a banner (hope you don't mind) ... If you don't use it, that's ok... I was just bored.

Great TR so far... can't wait for the next chapter. :surfweb:

I've lerked for a long time reading your trip reports and love them so much! My personal opinion is you NEED to see Disney at Christmas. Once you've been there at Christmas that'll be the only time you'll want to go back. We've gone at Christmas and we've been there in the summer and spring. During our vacations in the summer and spring Disney seems "naked" because there are no decorations at the resort or the parks. They have Christmas music playing all the time and the characters are all decked out in their Christmas outfits. You have the CP at Epcot, the Christmas party at th MK if you go before Christmas. That place is JUST plain magical at that time of the year. :santa:

Our family has stayed at WL,PORQ,and Boardwalk. Hands down our favorite resort is the Boardwalk. Is soo nice to be able to walk to Epcot and the Studios and not have to worry about a bus. There are SOO many awesome restaurants w/the Boardwalk,BC,YB,Epcot,Studios so close to you. You actually feel you're at the Boardwalk. The atmosphere is soo laid back. At night they have street performers and all kinds of stuff on the Boardwalk. Its an awesome resort to stay at!! These are just my personal opinions. Have fun deciding where you're going to stay and what time of year you're going to go.

THE BANNER IS SO COOL...LESLEY WILL LOVE IT!!!::yes::

LOVE Your trip report so far!! :lovestruc The pictures are great! I can't wait till October till we go for Halloween and the Disney cruise... you have made me inspired to take more pictures!!

Thanks for the update. That video is sooo funny. DH has been known to participate enthusiastically as well. Last trip one of our fondest memory was at the Monster Inc. Laugh Floor where DH was chosen as one of the characters. Dh played the part perfectly and we couldn't stop laughing. This was MVMCP night and all of us were wearing red Mickey sweaters. Then during the jokes one of the characters asks: What has four heads and one tiara? On the screen comes our family (the red sweaters blended into each other) and DD was the one with the tiara. It has become our family inside joke.

Also, can you tell me what kind of shoes you prefer to wear to the parks? Since we have gone fall time, my comfy tennis shoes are fine. But since we are thinking about a summer trip, I need something that breathes better. Thanks!!!

We would LOVE to go Christmas week but a majority of our trip each year is paid for with our tax refund, we would never be able to put enough away in that amount of time, but some year we will have to give it a try, I agree it would be awesome!

I told Brian what Tim did at Whispering Canyon and he looked at me and said

Glad you enjoyed the video. The water mice weren't too expensive, we didn't use the voucher because we wanted two boats and the voucher was pay for 60 min. get 90 and neither of us wanted to stay out for 60. I'm trying to remember the cost, it was less than 50 dollars for two boats for 30 min. each.

Glad you are slowly getting caught up. Tim had a peanut butter/chocolate cup and loved it. So fun you are watching my babies grow up Disney style, it's funny Tim and I were talking about how much it would cost to have Lauren married at the wedding pavililion, you know she'll want to some day! You will love Toy Story Mania, it is so fun!

TOTALLY understandable!!!

congrats on full time UOP, that is GREAT, I wish I could get something full time with them. AP's are an option. We are SERIOUSLY considering renting points for the Boardwalk for next years trip. I will probably be PMing you questions about it, because I have a lot.

We do love the parks, can't imagine cutting down park time. The 7 dyas in the parks and a 3-4 day cruise would be HEAVEN but I don't know if it is affordable for us, we'll see.

I agree, Christmas will be in the cards some year for us, we would love to try it sometime, the crowds do scare me though. When I retire I would love to go and experience it in the beg. of December to avoid the crowds but still see the parks all decked out. Thanks for the Boardwalk comments, we are seriously considering renting DVC points for it for next summer, I appreciate the comments, it sounds really cool.

Oh I don't mind at all, I LOVE IT! Now I just need to figure out how to post it, I'll give Tim that job. THANK YOU!!!!!:thumbsup2

That is a funny story, what great memories for you and your family.
I wear the Cleo Crocs, they are HEAVEN in the summer, I never get blisters after out 10 day of commando park touring and they do great in the hot and in the rain, I highly recommend them!
Lesley

I forgot to ask this in my last post - but can anyone go to Fort Wilderness for the smores/fire and movie? Or do you have to stay there or know someone that is staying there? What time does all the fun start??

Lesley,
Love the banner, so nice of natale1980 to put it together. :surfweb:
