Tim Tebow

I'm a Kyle Orton fan since he went to Purdue so I'm not too fond of Tebow.

He was one of the greatest college football players of all time. His physical skills were incredible. His leadership skills were arguably the best ever. He has and will likely continue to struggle at the pro level due to a number of factors, but in the end, he is driven, humble, confident, and committed. He is, by all accounts, a wonderful person with a kind heart and a genuine desire to help others. He is a real joy to be around, especially when his younger fans are around. He is patient and goes out of his way to give individual attention to youngsters who he knows he is a role model for.

In the end, as badly as he wants to succeed in the pros, ultimately, he is also convinced that his life has an even greater purpose, and he will embrace the next phase whenever it comes, with all the passion and commitment that he can muster.

Do you know him personally?

I think he's a rookie(practically) QB on a bad team who has way too much pressure on him. I think what he needs is to be traded to New England, where they have a decent QB already and there is no need for him to start.

:thumbsup2

That's my impression of him. I don't know him personally but he seems like he's a nice guy.

Love him and think IF they let him play ball the way he does instead of making him fit into the offense the way they have it (and let's be honest...a lot of teams build the offense around the QB's talents), he'll do great...I also think that beating the Raiders went a long way towards solidifying his position.

I think he deserves a chance to show what he can do.
On game day watch the pre game show and take a drink every time someone says Tim Tebow....he is talked about a lot.

Agreed.

I do feel however, that he's getting more scrutiny than he really should. It's not his fault he got picked in the first round, but he's expected to live up to first round draft pick expectations.

As a 20+ year Bronco season ticket holder, better than Orton. And certainly less of an ego.

Many of us remember quite well how godawful bad another college star, Elway was his first couple of seasons. He lined up behind a guard one game :lmao:. And Elway turned out ok.

Tebow probably isn't another Elway, but he will do ok.

And Denver would lynch the Broncos if they traded him. The fans put up billboards to convince Fox to play Tebow, for crying out loud. There was massive fan pressure to make him the starting QB.

Now, all we need is a decent coach. And somewhat of a team to surround Tebow..

puking in your mouth>tebow.

sorry im a member on the espn boards and the biggest joke on there is saying something bad > tebow.

I'd like him better if he hadn't been a Gator. Go Noles!

He signed on to do commercials for an anti-equality organization.

No thank you.

Sums it up for me.

First of all I am a Gators and Tebow fan...

Having said that, there's been waaaaay too much media hype about him and the odd part is that it's typically been either "he'll be great" or "he'll be terrible". There's a lot of people who want Tebow to be the best because he's one of the nicest, most spiritual people in football, but there needs to be a distinction.

What ever happened to just being average QB, and well liked as a person?

He has all of the skills to become at least an average quarterback WITH some time to learn...and there's plenty of average ones in the NFL, some even won the Super Bowl (Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer)
