He actually did a great job at University of Utah as well. He just didn't get credit for it until he was part of a big name program. As far as running up the scores, until I see a score of something like 72-0 or 91-0 (both of which I've seen from other schools lately), I don't think he should be called out for "running up scores."Yes Urban Meyer has done a great coaching job as 2 national championships would serve as proof. I know the Gator fans love him and are passionate about him. But , YES, he is perceived as an #$#@hole and has been known to run up the scores. Sorry Gator fans, but that is the perception outside of Gainesville.

really..can you link that?
do you people really know what running up the score means? Oh, if you are on the DIS, I guess not.
whether or not running up scores is his intention is besides the point. I am outside Gainesville and I agree that the perception of Meyer is that he does. Lane Kiffin at Tennessee has made Meyer look a lot better this year because he really seems to be a piece of work. I'm just agreeing with what the perception is, whether or not it is valid.

Actually, the 91-0 game I was referring to was in Division II football between two teams in Texas. Yes, it's still a long way from the SEC but it was college ball. The 91-0 nothing game I believe you are referring to was in HS, that's a long way from the SEC and in that case the HS coach didnt play his starters much if at all in some cases.
Meyer in 2008 won games by scores of.....
56-6 against S. Carolina
70-19 against the Citadel
63 -5 against Kentucky...the vaunted powerhouse some thought might come back against them in the 2H Saturday.
Do those count as running it up? Ya think that butt kicking might have prompted the UK players to take out anger on Tebow if given a chance??
I felt so bad for Tim Tebow when the camera stayed on him while he was vomiting and being carried off the field.
Couldn't they cut away and just say "It looks like a concussion." ?![]()

I am very close to the AA and really hated UM coming here...it was political the damn Utah pres....do you people really know what running up the score means? Oh, if you are on the DIS, I guess not.
Why do SEC fans think that the SEC is the be all, end all of college football? I'm actually NOT just talking about Gator fans, I've seen it with everyone I know who went to (or roots for) and SEC school.
Since there have been several SEC references here which seem to imply that the SEC is better/different than the rest of the NCAA I thought I'd ask.
