Tim McGraw in NYC - Updated w/pics

I know there are a few Tim McGraw fans on this board. My best friend is his biggest fan and we just got tickets for a private show in NYC next thursday night at Club Avalon in NYC.

What fun - hopefully we'll get to see Tim up close! We couldn't get tickets to his show at Mohegan Sun this weekend but today I got the tickets a minute after the pre-sale started!

I think this show is a taping for a tv special or something.

It'll be my first late night out after having the baby, hopefully i'll be able to stay awake! I'll be sure to post a concert review next Friday after the show!

Awesome! Have a great time...I am looking forward to your review as well. I went to my first country music concert this summer...Tim McGraw and Keith Urban in Milwaukee, and I have to say that Tim really put on a dud of a show. No energy, songs were not unique (by that I mean played the exact same way from the CDs...no extra enthusiasm or emotion), and zero interaction with the crowd. I thought it was just me thinking it was not good, but I talked to other people who had seen his shows before, and they definitely said it was the worst they'd ever seen him.

But I'm sure he'll pull of a great show for NYC!

Love him. He recorded his DanceHall Doctors CD a few minutes from where we live...wish I could have seen him. He makes me drool! There is just something about a sexy cowboy!

Lightsburnblue - I'm a little surprised that when you saw Tim he was a dud. I've seen him 5 times over the course of about 7 years and each time he's done a very good show with lots of energy. He also almost always signs all kinds of autgraphs at the end of his shows. I guess everyone has a bad/off night, unfortunately that may have been the show that you saw.

I saw him at Mohegan Sun last year and it was a great show. I think this show in NYC is a taping for a TV show, so it may not be like a regular concert.

The show last night at Club Avalon in NYC was great. It was a taping of an NBC special which is scheduled to air on February 3rd. My friend (the huge fan) and I were right in the first row by the stage, but because there were only around 500 people there, it was like everyone there was within feet of Tim and his band. Faith was there and she looks so pretty in person even with little makeup on (she didn't sing, she was in the balcony). We also were allowed to stay for the later taping also. We were so close we even touched his hand a few times during the show. It was a fun night, and I can't wait to see myself and my friend on TV enjoying the show. Awesome post, I heard the Avalon show was great !!! I was at his Saturday night show at Mohegan and he was phenomenal. Sunday night he got sick though, food poisoning.
