O.K., I've taken several days off to begin working on the ULTIMATE Itinerary, dining plan, and the ALMIGHTY budget!!!! I'm starting to get things in order so decided I would start sharing with you

(now don't you just feel honored

)
O.K. Dining plans have been changed, changed some more, and changed AGAIN AND AGAIN. I think we've finally come to conclusions.
Let me back it up first though and tell you how we decide on our park days and that in turn dictates our dining plans.
I start out by making a word document entitled "Sawhook Disney Vacation 2007". In this document I of course refer to Tour Guide Mike's best days in the parks so that does play a big factor. What also plays a big factor with me is I want to spend an equal amount of time in each park.
For us, we must have two Magic Kingdom mornings per trip (one morning is spent in Fantasyland and Adventureland, the other morning is spent in Tomorrow land and Toontown) for important moments like these:
so it is important when cramming all of this in to be in MK two mornings. To break this up with pic's, here is a pic of us our FIRST trip as a family to Magic Kingdom:
Then we must also have two mornings in Epcot. Again, we have different itineraries here as well (of course I will go into more detail with this closer to the trip). I need one morning to get in Soarin', see characters in the Character connection (our favorite place to meet the characters:
Turtle Talk, figment, etc. I need another morning to do Test Track/Mission Space and explore some of the World Showcase:
and this year we need to squeeze in the new Nemo Ride (anyone know if that is Fast Passed or not?) Of course we need to allow for time for the kids to explore in the fun areas at Epcot as well:
and more Epcot fun:
We also need two mornings in what has become our favorite park, MGM studios. There is so much fun stuff to do here that it takes us two solid mornings. Our favorites are Rockin' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Ariel show, Beauty and the Beast show, Backlot Tour, Lauren has to see the Playhouse Disney show
, Stunt Car Motor Show, Luke has to see the Power Rangers:
Green is his favorite, Lauren is actually in love with the pink ranger too. And the ALMIGHTY CARS are in this park which are Luke's new obsession. He has all of the diecasts. Here is some of his collection:
We have found that Animal Kingdom is an AWESOME park, but since we go in the summer and it is HOT

We take one day to explore this park.
Here's another first family photo in AK years back:
Our favorites at AK are Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, the Safari, Tough to Be a Bug, Lion King Show, CAN'T WAIT to see the new Nemo show this year. And we decided as a family to cool off and try something new this year and since Lauren is big enough we are going to try Kali River Rapids, should be fun!!!
We always enjoy the nigh attractions at least once each trip so we can see our favorite night time attractions,
SpectroMagic:
and of course WISHES at the Magic Kingdom (which, o.k. it is confession time, I've Never (GASP

) seen WISHES. We didn't stay out late for it on our honeymoon, hey we were busy at night

. and with the little kiddo's we've been leaving after spectro magic to get our sleepy babies back to the hotel. WELL. . ..THIS YEAR IS THE YEAR, and I can't wait to share it with you upon our return. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Illuminations (no pictures of this but it is an AWESOME show, I also like it because since it's at 9:00 you can get back to your room earlier and since we are at the parks at opening every morning I need my beauty rest
And my PERSONAL FAVORITE MGM's FANTASMIC show. Here is Luke waiting for it to start last year:
This one just runs chills down my back

It is MY alltime favorite Disney live show attraction. LOVE IT!!! Going in the summer though we've been rained out on this one when doing the dining plan Fantasmic package. So this year we're not doing the package and I'm planning two nights at MGM to avoid the total rainout happening.
Of course we need time for relaxation by the pool (o.k. we usually don't get too much of that. We catch the Electric Boat parade on the dock of WL at least once a trip, what a cute show, the kids (o.k. WE ALL) LOVE it. We also do a DownTown Disney night to eat and shop.
Most of our evenings are catching a great dinner, then catching a show or doing shopping instead of the attractions, so we squeeze attractions in during the morning hours.
Well, Now that you know how I start the plan, the next installment will show you how I have made this happen for us this year, by where we will be and when and why. I will also show you dining plans we have made.
In a few more I will show you the almighty budget.
I'm still on the hunt for airfare, can't find a good airfare deal from Dayton (when oh WHEN will Southwest release airfare beyond May 10th - it's getting FRUSTRATING people).
Well, hope this installment got you inside my planning head a BIT, more to come, with more details, I promise.
Until next time, look at this photo I took of Luke on the Magic Kingdom train our first trip to Disney with him. It was raining cats and dogs and look at the excitement on this little guys face ( I LOVE this picture)
Until next time. . .
