Tikiman's Polynesian Resort Pages is back online!

Tikiman or anyone else...do you know which blgs will have the new rooms by August? At the moment I have requested the fiji building for our stay but I will change that if I can find out which bldgs will be ready by August. Thanks! Marilyn :flower:

Well as far as I know the only one I can think of for sure by then would be Aotearoa but the Polynesian may want to kill me for saying that. There are a few other things I was told but I have to wait to say anything. I don't see Fiji being done this year at all but that could change.

Aloha

Steve

So what do you recommend that I do? Should I just wait until check in and ask them for one of the new rooms??? Marilyn :confused3

Wow what a site!! I think I know where we'll be staying our next trip. This year we are headed to the GF- but I managed to book a meal at the Poly and am hoping to sway my DH to stay there next time! Is there room for 6 more       at the Poly?

The rooms sleep a maximum of 5, but there are suites also available to choose from which accomodate five to nine people. Note that as with all Disney Resorts, there is an extra charge when another adult (or two, or three, or..) more than two adults occupy a room -- but that's even true at the All-Star Resorts and Pop Century.

If you have the dough for it, staying in a one bedroom suite with separate sitting area and wet bar (with accommodations for up to 5 people), a two bedroom "Princess" suite with 2 baths, separate sitting area and fridge (up to 9 people), or the "King Kamehameha" two-story suite with 2 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and kitchen (and is for up to 6 people) sounds like a great way to stay!

Steve, You made me very curious about your pending announcements. I can't wait to hear the news and I'll be checking the boards often. I was checking out the Tikiman site early this morning and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for all the info.

I've got my fingers crossed that there will be some new rooms open when I visit in December. I know there was a rumor that they would be refurbishing Hawaii but conceirge is not an option due to finances.

I am so glad to see the site up and running again. I so hope that Tahiti is done by December, I would love to stay there in one of the new rooms.

I am staying Concierge in September. Is Hawaii having their rooms redone this year?

 SO GLAD THE SITE IS UP AGAIN!!!!! It's 1 of my favorites!

Aloha Tikiman,

Great new website. I'm glad you're up and running again as we missed your site while it was down. Mahalo for all the time you put into maintaining your Poly website and the information that you provide to make everyone's trip planning that much easier. We appreciate it!

Aloha :wave2:

I am SO happy to see Tikiman's site back up. I'm recently become obsessed with staying at the Poly in 2007, so your site, Steve, will sustain me until then. It's a treasure! :Pinkbounc

I'm so glad b/c I only got about a third of the way through the it before it was blocked.

Glad to know the sight is up agin this month. I looked at the pictures of the new decor and I think it looks great. Better than peeking at it through a slit in the curtains! ;)

Great job, Steve.

Aloha!

Steve,

The new site was awesome. So glad it is back and better than ever.
Keeping you and your family in our prayers.

We go to the Polynesian for the first time this July. My daughter just saw the new room design on your site, but I told her the rooms would not be ready for our stay. I am almost starting to wish we had booked another resort so that we could go back to the Polynesian after rehab, but our budget won't allow another trip for a few years. I am sure we will not be disappointed, but the new room design is awesome.

We will be staying 3 nights at POR and transferring over to the Poly for 7 nights. Do you have any wisdom for securing a room request. The only special request I listed on our reservation was Tokelau. Of course I would love to get one of GV rooms with a lagoon view or take any long house with a rehab. room. Since we will be at the WDW before our actual check in date would it hurt to stop by and make a room inquiry? Would they be able to tell us our room assignment? I also thought of just going over early in the morning to check in and see where we are, then ask to be moved if we do not like the assignment. What would you do?

Thank you, Steve! Welcome back -- and better than ever!! :goodvibes

FINALLY, looks like we'll be staying there in October!!!! :wizard:
