I just read his FB post from last night. I am gutted. I follow his updates everyday and love seeing his pictures.

Doesn't sound so bad. He is probably going to obey news embargoes (or confidences form insiders) that most media types do when given inside info from Disney. Jim Hill and Len Testa refer to this regularly on their podcasts.

It was actually my daughter who informed me. She was raised on his info and has come to trust what he puts out there. In college she has enjoyed following his page as a connection to her mom and her favorite vacation destination.

Yep. I believed they may have banned him from the hotel or all of Disney. I think it may be something drastic like this. May not. I don't know, just guessing. All I know is that Disney hates a lot of the info and leaks that are available on the net now a days! They can't censor everybody. Don't you know that they hate these boards at times?

The way to save money, skirt the rules (for some), and other stuff they just don't want posted. Its the way of the future and they don't like it.

That's how I took it. He is either considered a member of the press which is subject to news embargoes (see my post above) or he said something publicly that he was told in confidence by an insider..

Nothing in this post is accurate for this situation. Don't guess about things you don't know.

I don't know what Steve's actual reasons are but I do know that with Disney that their plans change frequently and nothing is set in stone until the official announcement is made. Even then things may change. That's the main reason I never post any of the things I know until they are official. Do otherwise and you can inadvertently put out wrong info. Only posting factual info prevents that real risk that occurs with unofficial info from Disney.

I also know that the CMs were getting increasingly annoyed (yes even angered) by the misinformation they've had to deal with. My last interaction with a front desk CM who is one of the nicest and level headed people I've met was to see the angry reply of 'don't believe everything Tikiman says' when I asked them about something from the site. Read that how you wish.

If they don't want negative news posted by others, then Disney needs to learn how to inform its guests of the facts at Poly. I was so peeved about the construction and lack of information when we stayed in July. That, and the monorail being down, were the reasons we didn't stay at Poly last month. I hope he can continue informing and helping us, and I really hope that he hasn't been banned or anything like that. His website, dedication, and enthusiasm for the hotel are awesome.

His post said Disney asked him to stop. Unless it has since been changed. I did not know he was considered a member of the press? But I would hope we would be free to post pictures or anything else we have heard from CM's or around the resorts/parks as a sharing of information board. Or for that fact anywhere else on the internet. I think it is Disney's responsibility to put out correct information in a timely manner if they don't want people to speculate these are extremely expensive often times once in a lifetime trips people are taking.

I too read his post. I Agree. He said he will only post official information in the future.

Did not know that a blogger could not post what they wanted or that it spilled over to a FB page. That is interesting. Learn something new everyday.

Doesn't surprise me at all a CM got upset, they hate when you know more than they do.
