Tiki Mugs

GASP

OK, ok, calm down. Now I just have to figure out a way to fit this into my trip... in which I am not staying on Disney property... sigh...
Today was using virtual queue not sure how long that will last but good luck!

My fiancé also has an obsession. We just moved to Florida and we are building a tiki bar in our house. We are over 100 mugs now- it’s getting out of hand. If you use Instagram you should follow Trader Josh and Trader Dave- their handle is “enchantedtikibar”. They advertise really cool handmade mugs all the time.

Does anyone know if Trader Sam's or any of the other locations have cool swizzle sticks? I can't afford a tiki mug collection LOL but I have a few Disneyland swizzle sticks that I'd like to add to my collection.

UPDATE

So we went to Jock Lindsey’s at noon. They are selling three mugs: the green glass (used for the Hovito Mojito), the monkey mug (Cool Headed Monkey), amd the other “regular” glass (not sure of the drink). You can buy the glass without buying the drink itself.

ALSO. We went to Trader Sam’s today (Monday). We showed up at 1:45. The person taking names said we would be in the first wave, but standing room. We put our name in and we were told to come back by 3 (opening). We were called in at that point, and we were able to sit down (only two of us, and there was a two seat place under the goddess). There was a couple that came in after us and stood at the bar- we were one of the last people to sit.

Also I got the Nautilus and it was delicious. :)

If you don’t get in on the first wave, it could be a while. We were there an hour an a half (we ordered food as well), and I think only two other sitting groups left before us.

Happy to hear you're having a successful Tiki hunt. Do you know if it's the same Nautilus release from a few years ago?

I don’t know, and I’ve already bailed from my room and left it there, but once I get back I can check the edition number!

Oh, also, for anyone tuning in- they were out of the HippopotoMai Tai mugs today. The table next to us wanted one. The CM did mention that they would be getting some soon (a shipment was delivered to Disney but hadn’t made it to Trader Sam’s yet), and she offered to write on their receipt permission to come back and buy one in a few days so they wouldn’t have to try to get in and order another drink to get the mug.

It sort of sounded like this could happen again, because the CM mentioned they’ve been having supply issues.

Thank you! I have the 2nd, so I'll have to add it to my list. Oh no, being forced to consume another large fruity drink! The horror :D
I only have room for one of those behemoths but I’m glad to have found the support group here for whatever sickness this is that we have!! LOL I’m literally on my way to Orlando now, so hoping I can get in this afternoon. Will report back!

Whew -- I got one late last week, and I'm glad they weren't sold out! (I bought mine from Tiki Terrace, though I had to go to the Grog Grotto check-in area to pick it up.)

I just HAD to have a Nautilus so I went to Trader Sam's patio, but they wouldn't just sell it to me without the drink - I am not a drinker, so I told my server to ask a nearby table if they wanted to drink a Nautilus for me. They were soem delightful off-duty CMs and we hung out for a bit. I got my Nautilus and they got a rather expensive drink. I don't know which edition I have - this was a few years back, but it's in the dark brown color and I love it! I also have a Krakatoa and a Zombie Head. I need to get more though!

I got to Trader Sam’s today at about 2:00, and they started taking names at 2:15. I estimate about 50 made it into the 3:00 seating. All the effects were being done and it was fabulous. Thought the new menu was kinda meh but my “sacrifice” was good enough that I didn’t care LOL. They also have the face mugs in the gift ship again, but in brown. They don’t have the glass version of the Hippopoto-maitai one now.
