they used to sing the "tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki" song, lots of tikis, over and over. i don't remember it too well, because my mom hated the repetitiveness of it, and we stopped going when i was muuuuch younger. but when they changed to "new management" we checked it out again. they sing songs, disney songs, but with different words. it's kinda fun. if nothing else, it's a break from the heat, indoors in air conditioning. and zazu and iago are "in charge".

I know a lot of people dont like it, but I think its really cute. There is one line in particular that cracks me up, but Im a big fan of Iago anyway.

Yago(sp?) & Zazu are the new managers. All the birds sing "in the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room" and some other songs. I know alot of folks don't like it but I(and my family) absolutely love this attraction. Yes, it's corny, but it's amusing, it has a/c, you get to sit down for a little while.....and I think it is just great.

You ought to check it out at least once!

Our 4 year old loves it. It is shorter than it used to be (a plus) and it is always cool inside (big plus). It's a cute show that you should see at least once. It's one of those types of attractions that you will love or hate, but give it a try and decide for yourself.

You must see this attraction, I love it, always have, even when it was longer and much more repetitive (I was very little, forgive me!).

I haven't been in it since about '98 tho and can't remember if Pierre is still there, anyone?

We saw it for the first time ever on our last trip. It is really cute. We just did it because it is something we had never done....but I think it ended up being one of our favorites.

Warning...it does get a little dark and loud....but only for a short time....so if you have small children who may be afraid ...you may want to avoid it.

I dislike the current version. The original one had more charm IMHO. Iago grates on my nerves.

It becomes one of those irritating attractions that you must do everytime you go down because it grates on your nerves!LOL

DD10 and I did it for the first time this past trip and we enjoyed it. It's gonna be one of those ones you have to do everytime you are there!

An interesting fact about "under new management." If you listen in the pre-show area, I think it is some character that is the agent for Iago or Zazu, you will hear the voice of the late Phil Hartman! It makes me sad every time because he was such a talented guy and it was such a tragedy to lose him, but it also makes me smile to hear him again. If you were a fan of his it is worth it to see the show just to check out his voice!! Lacee

IMHO this show is a classic even being "under new management"
IT is classic Disney at its best!! I love this attraction, but I also love It's a small world too. It is one of those "Must Do's" every trip for us. I could sing the song all day.........

I loved the old Tiki Room. I dislike the constant complaining of the new characters. I want the birdies to sing and the flowers to bloom in the tiki tiki tiki tiki Tiki Room.

I had the chance to see the original Tiki Room at DL this February, (I like to go to see one of Walt's original animatronic attractions) and forgot how LONG it was. I just remembered the Hawaiian War Chant and not the length of "Let's all sing like the birdies sing." DH hates either version, but does it for me. I know I like "under New Management" better.

Maybe I'm a big geek, but I loved the old Tiki Room and I also love the new one. Sure it's corny, but it's supposed to be. Not everything has to be serious - especially not in the World.

This is one of the original classic attractions. I still remember being mesmerized when we were there the 2nd day that Disney World opened. My kids hate it and I drag them kicking and screaming every trip.

DH and I did this for the first time last trip and WE LOVED IT!! I am looking forward to seeing it again with my 3-year-old nephew in November. There is so much going on the with different birds and some are just adorable. See it at least once.

I saw the Old Tiki Room back in the mid 80's and have been to the New Management one as well. I have to admit that I liked the Old one better. It was more mellow (except when the gods got angry) and I will always remember everyone singing along with "lets all sing like the birdies sing".

My personal facination came from trying to imagine how they were making all those beaks work with the music with no visible mechanical anythings. Just was amazing to me. I really miss the old one but the new one is cute as well.
