Those look really good. I might have to try my hand at making some! How does the taste compare to the DL ones? ( I've never had the DL ones but just wondering)
I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to that question, as we never did try the ones with orange flavoring. I bought my kids one of those breakable chocolate oranges once?...and we all shared it?...and everybody had a headache and felt nauseated afterward so that experience really ruined the chocolate/orange flavor for us.
The ones we made were good...although I'll be honest and say I'm not a huge fan of white chocolate (or any colored variety of it..), so I personally just thought the Tigger Tails we made were "meh". I really do LOVE caramel and marshmallows together, so I enjoyed that element of them...and the real chocolate "stripes" were yummy.
I will say, that we made enough for everyone to have their own...my kids were about 4, 7, 10, and 16 when we made them...and after about 5 bites they were all looking green, lol. Just waaaaaaaay too much sugar. (But my kids are accustomed to only having small amounts of sugar at any one time - so I imagine the TT's don't make everyone sick like that...). We each only finished a very small portion of ours.
They were a lot of fun to make....but the next time we made them we used the little miniature marshmallows, and those treated everybody's tummies MUCH better.
If I make them again, I'm actually going to use the chocolate chips for the coating, and then use the orange-colored chocolate for the stripes....just because we all like regular chocolate much better (and it's especially good with caramel and marshmallows. Also, we'll just use the mini-marshmallows again).
