Oh, and I understand your hunger for cheese in the morning, I love it all the time. I haven't tried the Apple and Walnut salad from Mickey D's yet but I've heard great things about it. Maybe I will soon.

I'm glad you are doing the Relay for Life. It is a great cause and so encouraging to see people take part. Plus seeing all those people jogging/walking/running is inspirational! :)

Amanda! Thanks! The Fruit and Walnut Salad is DELI-ish! Yum-o! It's 3 bucks in my area, but there's a $1 off coupon in the packet that holds the fork.

Trial of the Day: My babysitting kids' dad went through the drive through at McDonalds. That was the easy part. He ordered a Happy Meal for the kids and one for himself. He offered me fries! I said no without thinking about it. My mom also went through McyD's for my brother's supper. I talked myself out ot that Quarter Pounder with Cheese and fries...mmm! I asked myself if I really wanted it since I was this far in my challenge and determined what I really thought I needed was everything in that bag...at way too high a price!

I CAN do this challenge! Even if I have to tape my mouth shut when I go in, dog gone it I will succeed and there's nothing McDonalds can do to stop me ! :flower: !
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a very busy day but I feel confidence in my abilities!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have a great one!

Congrats on your resistance to temptation! :banana: :banana: Well done. It's not always easy but it always makes you feel good about yourself when you've done it.

Amazing willpower at McDs... especially with two shots in one day! Keep up the good work! ;)

How do I feel today? Confident and PSYCHED!!! Squad leader victories are announced tonight!!!! If I get it, we're gonna party. If not, well, I did my best, but K (band director) is looking for the best out of so many people. I'll do it next year!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Toodle oo!
Hey Tiger girlfriend!!!!
I'm SO sorry hon, that I haven't been on your journal in a few days...but you've definitely been on my mind!!! :)
You're doing so great with the resisting of temptation, I'm SO proud of you!!
I can't wait to hear the results of the band!! :cheer2:
Hi you guys, I waited till I was all settled before I could write to you.
I didn't make it. What's unfair is that all of the people who tried out for Drum Major, made Squad Leader. My best friend made it but I didn't. I felt like part of myself was ripped away, and my dreams for now were crushed. See, I plan like this: set your goals big (go big or don't go at all), few and far ahead. As for Plan B...well, there is no plan B. (I'm gonna start crying again.) One of my "friends" said that it was ridiculous of me to set my goals and expectations too high because I was never gonna reach them. Needless to say, I have cut my associations with her down to few. My best friend (Sav [pronounced like Mav but with an S at the front]) said I looked so bummed and that she was sorry. It wasn't her fault that she was chosen. But all night long, I was guilt tripping and wondering how badly I screwed up not to get it. K did say that on a scale of one to ten (10 being best), nobody got below a 7 and three scored above 9.5. I didn't have the guts to ask him how I could improve. I was afraid I'd start crying. :sad: :sad: :sad: I felt so disappointed because the only other clare (clarinet) trying out was gonna be a senior. (Next year they're all outta my way!)
My AH (accelerated history) teacher picked up on my mood, as did all else. He asked what he could do. I said "Evict ____ from my position or a million dollars in small bills." My band friends who sit next to me made me smile (AH was talking about the 'old days' when they had to walk to school, in 18 ft deep snow, but he's only 28. :rolleyes: A friend started talking about how her ancestors only had one pair of pants, so one person could go to school a week. AH started talking about underwear everyone shared. I pictured it and started laughing. I can also sing Just Keep Swimming from Nemo in Spanish!(
How do I feel? Very disappointed because after school, I had to wake up to reality, where everything is wacko. During school, awesome.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did an unofficial weigh in after school, because I felt good. 186!!!! Hope my cheerleading uniform still fits because I got fitted when I was 203. Good or bad?

I'm SO sorry and sad you didn't make it! I could feel your pain and almost cried myself (but I'm an emotional thing anyway).

I'm glad you have next year and I can hear (see, read....whatever) your determination.

Your food is good, your exercise is good. You will accomplish this.

Hang in there. "Just keep swimming!"

Hold your head up, Tiger! Consider this a learning experience and keep going hard and strong. There's always next year!!

You are the biggest motivator on this board so just remember that even though you are down, you are still oh so FABULOUS!

We love you!

:cheer2: :banana: :bounce: :cool1:

Thanks, Julie and Amanda. You guys make me feel all happy again.
Amanda: I got a phone call and my call waiting went off and botched the whole thing. :badpc: Thanks for bein' patient. This loose thing is good and bad because I don't know if I can get it resized. It does feel awesome. My ticker's not budgin' till Saturday though. I'll have lost 13 pounds, get my first 10 pound goal, be close to my 15 pound goal AND get my clippie. Whoa.
Julie: Thanks!

You guys don't know how much your words mean to me right now. Worth a million for every one.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
And now what I've been waiting for: the Happy Smiley Dance because you guys are awesome on the highest level. You know what to say to make me all :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: again!!! :)

Tiger Cheer!!!

Can I just celebrate for a minute with you?????

:jumping1: :jumping1:

You aim BIG!!! Because you BELIEVE in yourself!!!! And you know that these setbacks are not really setbacks at all (although they really sting ya at the time)...they're little mountains you have to traverse to get to the summit. Man, your calves start aching, your legs are telling you that you should just turn around and head back to safety, but that little bruised heart inside says, "Nope, you've come this far...let's push on and see what's ahead..." Do you know what's just happened? Your calves are STRONGER because they've taken this path, your legs are developing endurance because you didn't turn back...you're putting together an ensemble of strength, courage, and fortitude that will serve you well on your path to the summit. You've also learned compassion...you've felt the disappointment and you will have a merciful heart towards those who face the same type of situation in their lives...and your words will comfort and restore hope.

You have a great crew of friends (the one that is a little negative needs you..she/he will learn from your resilience and hopefully pick up on the fact that if you fall you get back up...you don't give up) and what a sweet history teacher....go in tomorrow with the knowledge that you have gained something from this and show that beautiful smile...and the gains in your character will far outweigh any memories you would have gained if you had been selected. I'm not saying I won't be jumping for joy when you do succeed in any of your challenges...but I am excited to see how you take this and grow from it...and if you ever decide to be a mother one day...you'll look back on this and smile tenderly as you help your child go through a similar disappointment...you'll tell the story of how much it meant to you but that you didn't give up. We need those stories...my children for some reason love to hear the stories of when I failed more than the ones where I excelled! :) We're here for you and I'm sooo happy for the way you have managed the pain and seeing the good in it...and I KNOW that cheerleading outfit will need to be refitted! :)

YOU ROCK!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Sure you can Tara!! I love the way you put that in perspective!!! That is gonna be printed out and hung on my wall!! Thanks Tara!! I feel so much better after talking to you guys. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

The reason why I didn't type as soon as I found out was because A) I was in the middle of a concert and B) I needed a little time to cool down or I might have typed some words I may have regretted.

Who wants to celebrate? You all are invited!!!

Let's dance!!
