TigerCheer2009's Lose 30 and Not Gain It Back Plan! (Add comments please!! Welcome!)

Way to go on the new clippie!!!!! Congrats! Awesome job on the two pounds gone!!!!!
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Keep it!!!!

Thank you, friends!!! I never ever ever thought I would have came this far. The credit goes to you. Without you guys (and Maley...and the dancing nanners) I could have never gotten here on my own. Seriously. Thanks to EVERYONE!!!

I am determined to have a great weekend!!! We might see Wedding Crashers tomorrow-good movie?

:cheer2:  :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :bounce:  :dancer: :thewave:

I had a snack of lemon yogurt and a baked potato (4...because the baked spud had cheese on it.)

11 minutes more of random dancing. It was fun!! Today I listened to the country music station...very fun.

You are all cordially invited to Jen's Birthday Bash to be held August 28th. Pop in at your leisure. Healthy snacks, music, water, and random dancing will be provided. And don't let the kitties out. :cat:

It's gonna be a great DAY-ay! When all my troubles just go away!! Another fabulous day-ay! Another fabulous day-ay_ay!

Okay, I went a little crazy at dinner, but we ate at -holy COW!!- 9:00, 3-4 hours after I normally ate...it was at Applebees!

Dinner: tango chicken sandwich, 2 bowls spinach artichoke dip, 2 cheese quesadilla slices, berry lemon cheesecake <--which could solve any problem in the world, that cheesecake-->sandwich was 7, spinach artichoke dip was maybe 3 each (6), 2 quesadilla slices were 2 each (4), cheesecake was 5(5)

22 POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omigosh. I had 7 points left over...plus 3 flex...11 flex used. Wowie wow wow. Just because people offer appetizers to you, doesn't necessarily mean you have to snarf them. To think, I made a salad to eat before I went and wasn't allowed to have it!

And today won't be much better. It's meet the team night at the football field. Which means A) I'll be marching. B) The concession stand will be open. C) They serve dinner! AAGH!

B: apple and yogurt (3).

Football games are hard! I alsay seem to head right for the mozzerlla sticks. Stay strong!

/
More breakfast: 3 slices french toast (270 cals), a "splurp" of syrup.

I wrote the cals because I wasn't sure on how many points. 7 minutes of stretching, gravity splits and actual splits...plus random dancing!!!!

Thanks, Twinks. I am addicted to junky snacky food. They're serving hot dogs and chicken sandwiches and mozzarella sticks and sodas and pretzels and chips and cookies.

L: I'm gonna walk up town and maybe get my favorite salad (2...dressing and cheese), and a Diet Soda for lunch...I WILL say no to the breadsticks and pizza!! I will say no!!

S: baked potato with cheese (2), cucumber smilies, and tomato smiles for a snack with Italiano! Vinagrette (Italian vinagrette with a sprinkle of Parmesan)...2

D: I'm going to have tomato soup and a baked potato before I go (3). If in the worst case scenario, I might have a hot dog (4)

Water: The goal is for 3 liters and a roughly 19 ounce bottle.

L: the pizza shop wasn't open!!! Tomato soup and baked potato (4...cheese!)

S: tomato soup (2)

D: Hot dog (4)

1.5 bottles water.

10 more minutes exercise, 30 minutes standing.

It's gonna be a good year!

Hey Jen

hope your weekend has been good :)

just popping in to WISH you a great week ahead...with lots of exercise and good eating!!!

hugs,
Jen :fish: ;)

You are doing SO AWESOME!!! YOu are almost at goal!!

Hope school goes ok. Lunch rooms can be no fun at all. Maybe you will need to start bringing lunch like Bekah. Seems her staple food in Canned Pasta - the fat free Chef Boyardee ravioli.

Have a great week!!

Good morning everyone!!! It is my very last day of freedom before I go back to school...and I am super nervous!!

Today I get my passbook/planner and schedule at 1:30...which is nervewracking like people are holding back huge secrets and I can't know them until that time!! I have NEVER been a very good waiter.

B: 1 cup cereal (2)...3 sips of an 8oz, 16 calorie glass of cranberry juice! I've tasted better, really.

The goal for today is to get the stuff, organize locker, plan for tomorrow, open house at 5:30.

Thanks, Jen!!! I think I'm gonna need it!

Jules, I think I might start packing my lunch! Lunches are a chokin' 1.90 per meal of frozen food that I can get for .99 at Wally World for the generic brand! It's healthier...and more cost efficient. Do you KNOW how many Mickey bars I can get with $10 a week, plus $7.50 a week for bottled water? (answer: some unusually large number, hopefully!) I'm thinking, salads, soups, I can buy a baked potato there, sandwiches and fresh fruit instead of the mushy canned the school provides! Thanks!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Yesterday's menu was totally WACKED!!! The pizza shop isn't open on Sundays! Maybe today after I get my schedule...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I am only half looking forward to school...I have NO idea what I'm going into this year!!

School starts tomorrow at 8:20...it's gonna be fun  ! I'll be back with a full report at 3:15 (because I walk slow and I have to get my stuff all put together! School ends at 3:00.)

Sounds like a busy day ahead. Hope at least some of it is fun!

You'll do fine on food this year because you want to do this. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. First day is always nervewracking.

Have a good one!

Good luck with the schedule. I know it's a miracle if they get it right. They gave my DD home ec instead of french and say she has to wait 2 weeks before they will make changes. I'm thinking of going to talk to guidance and see if some parental persuasion may help.

Maybe you could stash away some healthy snacks for the game. It would be nice if they had some healthy alternatives at the concession stand.

Have a great first day of school tomorrow!!! :flower:

Hey, Jen, sweetie! I am soooo proud of you for how well you have done this summer with your healthier eating and all that happy exercise. I really hope you will take the time to pack your lunches. I think you will be so much happier knowing you are in control of what you are eating. You can tell everyone you know that you are saving every penny you don't spend on school lunches to spend on souvenirs and goodies at WDW. It will give you a great chance to brag about your trip!

If you want some suggestions for grocery shopping for school lunches, may I suggest the following "fun capable" foods?
flour and whole wheat tortillas (these are so much fun rolled with lunch meat or other goodies)
low fat turkey or ham from your deli (buy just a bit at a time so it will be fresh)
laughing cow lite cheese (I love the swiss wedges -- one of these spread on a tortilla is another really fun lunch treat)
buy a bag of lite or baked chips and make up some pre-packaged ziplocked bags that you can grab when you pack lunch
hard boil some eggs on Sunday night and use them as a 2 point protein rich breakfast grab or for a lunch component
no sugar added bread & butter pickles -- wrap these in foil or wax paper and put them on your sandwich at lunch time -- great taste addition!
lite yogurts are only 2 points each; the fit n fiber ones are 1 point -- I freeze these and put them in my lunch to keep everything cold and they are delish that way
fat free mini pretzel twists -- these are GREAT dipped in yogurt or broken up in it
I LOVE making turkey meatloaf muffins and freezing them -- grab one for your lunch the night before, cut it open horizontally and put it on 2 lite english muffins -- usually about 5-6 points TOTAL for 2 awesome sandwiches for lunch. Really good with sliced tomatoes and pickles
Open a can of solid white tuna packed in water, mix with celery, onion, diced tomato and, if you want, light may -- very tasty, filling lunch.

As you can see, I am all about the minium point, maximum fill lunch! I find that protein rich lunches really hold me over best.

Also, I am also severely tempted by the concession stand at football games (I am the ever-present colorguard mom! :teeth: ), and always allow myself a diet soda and a soft pretzel -- 3 points total!

Good luck, kiddo, just think of how GREAT you are going to look in those family photos in front of the castle!

:grouphug:
Cam

Okay. So I got my schedule. It's really not that bad...I am with some of my friends...but there are no "constant" people.

L: chef salad, breadsticks (8)

S: Sandies and yogurt (4)

D: 2 slices pizza, 2.5 breadsticks, 8 ounces milk (9)

5 minutes exercise.

On the school front:

Locker is decorated and organized.

Met the teachers.

Talked with teachers. (They really seem nice...not the type to go into meanie convulsions at the mention of Disney World during a band concert *gack*)

Avoided the dinner buffet of snacky type foods.

Ready for tomorrow? Almost. I'm going to buy a lunch to see if the food is edible. Backpack is packed, clothes are set up, 2 different alarm clocks are set...I'm overanalyzing WAY much!

Schedule:
:wave2: APCP American Government 1st
:magnify: Biology 2nd
 Spanish 3rd
:3dglasses APCP Language Arts 4th
:cheer2: AA! Academic Assist (aka Homeroom!)

Jules-Thanks!! I appreciate it...you too!

Cindy-thanks! I know how you feel on the scheduling thing...I got mine on the first day of school-two weeks after everyone else-only to find out they put me in the regular classes instead of AP. It's !! I might stash some snackies, but our band pants don't have pockets and we can't get on the bus till it's time to go! :(

Cam-Thank you Cam!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! the lunch ideas!!! I may try some of them! Thanks!! Cindy's Castle and Lookin' Fine, here I come!

(The Band Parents feed both marching bands after halftime-cookies, chips, and sodas. I will try the soft pretzel idea though...! Thanks!!)

Good luck at school today :sunny: Your schedule doesn't look too bad and you've got some great food planned. What are the "sandwich rollyups"? I'm looking to diversify my lunch at work (LC is just getting old) and I'm seeing some great ideas from your journal.

Good luck with school! Your schedule does not look bad at all!!!! Great job thinking ahead with the food choices!!!

You are doing great. Keep up the good work
