Tiger Woods hospitalized due to accident

I think they are huddling with lawyers. They could be facing several charges. If she did scratch up his face, she could have a domestic violence charge. There's also a report that she is changing her original story that she was inside the house and came running out with the club when she heard the accident, so that could be a false statement to police charge. There's also a report that he was under the influence of pain meds, so there could be a driving while impared charge. Plus they are probably trying to find the best way to do damage control for his public image and endorsement contracts.

On one of the media outlets they said he will likely NOT be at his next game as the Police are looking at the scratches (oops, meant accident damage) to his face since there was no blood inside of car at all....(meaning he was already cut up before he got in the vehicle).
Meanwhile the woman whose name was linked with his as having the affair that allegedly started this whole nightmare has apparently reached out to Geragos and Allred as attorneys for slander against National Enquirer....she says there was no affair...
whatever happened, glad to hear hes okay and hope it all works out, doesn't he have little babies at home :confused3

we shall see.....................

OMG all you arm chair lawyers. Have you bothered to read our constitution and its amendments?

One of the news stations questioned that. They said anytime someone is taken to the hospital from an accident, the police report is marked serious injury.

Oh, okay. Thanks. That makes more sense then.

What bothers me most about this is that the first news stories were saying he was in serious condition. Next thing we heard was that he was released with some facial lacerations. Next time save the serious condition alert for the person who really is in serious condition!

Well, technically facial lacerations ARE a head injury, which could be serious, since you never know what's going on inside the head if the outside is lacerated.

To me there is a huge difference between potentially serious and serious. Does that make any sense? I just think they blew it way out of proportion.

Well, OK, there's a Constitutional amendment that says we don't HAVE TO speak to the police. But, why would you not speak to the police if it were truly an "innocent" accident?

I agree that there is more to this than "a minor accident and his wife broke the window with a golf clubto render first aid". I also agree that it in no way affects me, but human nature being what it is, we will all speculate. And Tiger can liek it or not, but he's a semi-public type of figure. Since he doesn't have a problem accepting millions of $$ to endorse specific products...he's putting himself out there. So, the good side of fame is the money. The bad side is loss of privacy. It was his choice.

I would never speak to law enforcement without adequete reprentation. It doens't matter if you are not guilty or guilty. It's the picture you want to paint if you try. Really it's no ones business and it should be kept that way.

I've never had a bad experience with law enforcement, so it wouldn't faze me to speak to them in the case of an accident.

I haven't either but even if you are in the right people can spin things you say to make you look wrong, at least civilly if not criminally. If I had hundreds of millions to lose I would have an attorney before talking to anyone just to be safe.

Tiger not only has attorneys, he has publicists. I'm not sure why they haven't at least released a statement. It might get some of the vultures off his tail. I'd really like to see the news crews go someplace else. I'm pretty sure there are more important things happening in the greater Orlando area!

I just read on CNN.com that the only thing he's legally bound to do is show his insurance, drivers license and registration (which he has done, I think).

You aren't required to give a statement to police after an accident. Though I don't know why you wouldn't. :confused3 All the stalling seems odd.

This was a pretty minor accident. He left his house and hit a fixed item. There were no other cars involved. He does not have to talk to a police officer in this case.

Why wouldn't he talk to them:confused::confused: IT seems like he's trying to cover something up?

Personally, I don't get the fascination with celebrities lives. We build them up then watch them fall. The facts may come out and they may not. It's no ones business.

That's how I feel. The day my life is so boring that I spend my day following the life of someone who has no idea I am on this Earth someone please get me a shotgun with a toe attachment.

It seems like if we aren't following the every move of a celebrity we are nannying our neighbors and complaining about what other adults choose to do with their free time.

Why did you come to this thread? If you weren't curious as to what was going on?

Yeah, but what was he doing out at 2:25am?

If he just hit the fire hydrant because of exhaustion, then he would have no problem talking to police. The fact that he isn't talking to them, makes me think he's hiding a secret.

Better spill it!!
