I have read all the posts about the towncar services that I can find. I have decided to go with Tiffany. Does anyone have any REALLY bad stories about them? I just want someone who will be on time with a booster seat and a 30 min grocery stop in between!

We've used them and NEVER had a problem. I've also never read on this boards about any problems with them.

I've use them also and did not have a problem. However I just read a post that I now can not find, that mentioned their prices went way up. Can anyone confirm this? Or maybe suggest another service that is reliable and with a lower cost?

Thanks,
TheRobbs

We used them just two weeks ago, had great service, a stop at the grocery, and a booster seat ready for use. The driver that picked us up at MCO waited for our luggage to arrive, and was more than helpful. I had an 8.00 coupon in the Passporter, told the driver, and he didn't even ask to see it. Our total came to 87.00 plus tip.

Thanks for your opinions! Out trip total is supposed to be $95.00 but they have a $5.00 off coupon on their site. So each leg of the trip would be $45.00. Since we are planning on a grocery stop on the way in, is $15.00 okay for a tip and then $10.00 for the return trip to the airport?

Lisaes - that's what we tipped; 15.00 to the driver that picked us up at MCO, and 10.00 to the driver on the return trip

Can you tell me what type of booster they had? I hate to keep repeating this question (or it seems I am), but I already have them booked and I'd like to keep it that way. BUT, if the booster won't work for my 3-yo, I'll have to change.

Thank you!

Gee, never even thought about the "type" of booster seat. Here at home DS has the full one like an actual seat in a car. Hope they have that kind. He's never used the other ones before.

I'm not really sure of the "brand," but it's the same type of booster that my five year old grandson uses at home. I do know that they sell it at Walmart, it has two arms, and two cup holders that slide out of the bottom. If your children are younger, and use a car seat vs. a booster seat, you may want to contact Tiffany to tell them to bring one.

i used this section of the Dis to research for my use of the towncar/limo service. since i personally havent used any car service in florida and i also didnt know anyone who has i was concerned. you hear great things about tiffany, florida, southern elegance etec, then you read further and you hear about bad experiences. so what do you do.

i decided on Happy Limo for one reason. my travel agent uses them and suggested i try them.

the prices really arent too varied. some places list the total price and others seem to not add tolls, entry fees and driver gratuity etec.

i can give an example of the varying opinions. i have read that happy limo's customer service leaves much to be desired. recently over memorial day weekend i was checking all of our reservations and to my horror i discovered i made my reservations for 4 different pickups for june. our vacation isnt until july!!! i called them immediately, 4 pm on a holiday i wasnt too sure if i even was going to get anyone. well i explained what i did to the person who took my call , she transferreed me to someone else took my correct dates and by the morning i had all of the new and correct confirmations in my email. the way they handles my changes on a holiday weekend made me feel good about my choice

We used Happy Limo last fall and had no problems at all. I am planning to use them again on our trip at the end of this month.

The drivers were helpful and polite, met us at the baggage claim and were talkative and funny. We stopped for our groceries and that was nice. You can fax your order in ahead of time and they'll have it ready. I really didn't have any complaints.

One other thing I really liked is they rent strollers. We got a double, umbrella type that you can fold, for $25 for 8 days. We could fold it up and take it on all the Disney transportation with minimal hassle.

I used Tiffany about a year ago. We had a 3 leg trip- MCO to HRH, HRH to CBR and CBR back to MCO. When we first arrived at MCO, we found the driver after about 20 minutes- he didn't have a sign w/our name on it, but it wasn't a really big deal, I was just happy to find him and be on our way.

When he picked us up at HRH and CBR he was about 5-10 mins. late each time. Again, it wasn't a really big deal or anything- but he didn't even apologize for being late or say something like "oh, traffic was bad". Overall it was an o.k. experience.

We used Quicksilver on our trip this past May and they were AWESOME- even a few minutes early on each part of our trip and the driver was very nice. Their cars look brand new and have flip down DVD screens from the ceiling! I will be using them from now on. -Stephanie

we went in '02 and used Tiffany. It was okay. He was a few minutes late picking us up at the airport (no sign for us either). They picked us up at AKL, she was there on time but no sign again. We waited for around 15 minutes before I went up to the driver that was standing around and asked who they were waiting for, they said us. Would've been nice to have a sign. The car was clean and the drivers were nice. I'm looking into Quicksilver for our trip next month. But I don't not Tiffany. It was okay.

You will love Tiffany! We have used them twice and will be using them again on Tuesday morning (Yeah!:earseek: ). They have always been prompt and their vehicles are very nice and clean.

Enjoy!

We have used Tiffany 8 times and they have always been early and waiting with a sign in the airport. We always ask for a grocery stop when we make the reservations. As with any reservations, I always call the day before we arrive/depart to varify that we are on the same page.
