Just booked them for our November trip. This will be my first time using a car service. We usually do the Magical Express but I just dread being on the bus for that long when I can be there that much sooner ;)

We are staying at the Poly and usually we are the second to last stop.

I read some of the threads and people seem to like Tiffany. Thanks for the suggestion.

It's been years since we were in WDW but Tiffany is who we always used. The were efficient, friendly and helpful. I loved the 15 minute grocery stop too!
Have a great trip!

Second to last stop??? Out of what...three stops? That makes you the second stop. Anyway....here are some of my times, using various modes of transport from MCO to WDW resorts.

DME..average of 70 mins from gate to resort. Most run about 65-70 mins, but one took 55 mins with one taking close to 90 mins.

Towncar with carryon only.....45 mins.
Towncar with checked baggage......60 mins (not including grocery stop)

Mears shutttle to S/D....75 mins.

OH, and Tiffany Towncar? Love 'em.

Hello,

Actually last year with the DME we stopped at Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Poly then GF.

And it took forever!!! There were just so many families on the bus with strollers, etc and they were just soooo slow. It took us 1 hour and 45 minutes.

So, this year I didn't want to deal with that. It will be just the 2 of us with luggage and I'm sure we will arrive sooooo much sooner.

Thanks for the advice.

That is a very unusual situation. I have used DME many, many times. Only one time did it take close to 90 mins....it took a long time to be picked up at the airport (probably about 25 mins), then we stopped at two resorts before heading to POP (Pop is usually the first stop). There were a ton of families with checked baggage with them, so it took forever to unload at each of the stops....not the usual 3 mins. More like 10-12 mins at each stop...not a long time unless you're sitting on the bus, anxious to get to your resort.

You will probably be happier with a car service, based on your experience. Go with TT...they seldom get bad reports.

Thanks :)

I'm sure I'll enjoy the car service.

I think the DME is a great service and I have taken it many times but like you said it's a looooonnnnggg ride when you are anxious to get there.

The only time that it took a long time was when I was staying at the GF and we did stop at the WL, Contemp, Poly then GF. Personally, I think they should do it in the reverse order since the GF is the most expensive. But I'm sure they have a reason for doing the order they do.

In 2009 we only did 3 stops and the strange thing was the Poly was first (then Contemp and WL). So I guess there's no set order???

Anyway I'm looking forward to trying out the car service.

Thanks for the advice

There are no set routes. You could ride to the same resort times and not have the same route.
As far as the GF not being first, there is a reason for that. There is an issue with the buses heading back to the other resorts from the GF..something to do with a turn or something. It prohibits them from heading to GF first and then going to the other MK resorts.
The amount you are paying for your room has no bearing whatsoever on bus service. As I mentioned before, for the most part, those staying at Pop get off the bus before those staying at AKL. At BW, we have stopped at POR first.
Pretty much the same thing for the regular buses. Paying more doesn't get you better bus service, on any level.

We are also using Tiffany for our upcoming trip. Since we need 3 rides...MCO to BWI, BWI to Port Canaveral, and Port Canaveral to MCO, the car service seemed the most convenient/stress-free option, and it is costing far less than renting a car!
