This isn't directly in response to what you wrote but more the back and forth nastiness that has gone on.
Personally I think FP+ will work perfectly fine for me, especially now that I am a solo traveler. I don't have any children and I don't have a huge aversion to waiting in lines the stuff I don't FP+. Actually I'm looking forward to checking out some of the interactive queues and reading my Kindle while in line.
However, I can also understand that this changes drastically some families touring styles and vacation preferences. It's ok not to like it and to chose not to go if you don't think you would enjoy yourself.
What I don't like aside from the nastiness already pointed out, is that some posters who don't like FP+ make those of us that do look stupid for liking certain aspects. Several posts, not necessarily on this particular thread, imply that parades, shows, fireworks, and low tier rides are a waste of your FP+ and that you are stupid or uninformed if you pick them. I happily admit to having FP+ for two shows in AK and some low tier/priority rides in other parks. If I'm not knocking you for not liking FP+, don't knock me for the things I enjoy. I don't need a FP for the safari ride if I don't actually want to ride it. Not all families/people enjoy the same types of rides or experiences and that doesn't mean Disney pulled one over on us.
