With the tiered FP+ talk it just really shows how these parks are seriously lacking in major headliner attractions.Fastpasses were meant to be used for the 2-3 headliner attractions in each park.Having to decide whether I should use a FP+ for the Indy show or Beauty and the Beast is silly,or how about for a character spot or a parade,it doesn't make sense. If I were Disney I would be looking at them needing to add between 1-3 major E Ticket rides to each of their parks because now people are seeing the options they have to pick when choosing FP+ and they realize they're not offering enough, especially if you don't park hop and since they can't get FP+ for a second park it seems Disney wants people to stop buying the park hopper option.Across town you have Universal sitting back and seeing how Disney is all about making people upset and waiting to see how many are going to start spending a bigger chunk of their vacations,if not all of it at Universal. As much as I don't like comparing Disney to Universal you have to look at what they're doing.Universal is tearing down rides that were still popular like Jaws to build new Potter phase 2 which next year will make Universal an even bigger draw, along with new rumored projects like a new Kong ride,at the same time Disney is adding a few props to old rides to give them some attention and offering FP+ to rides like Journey into Imagination which the last couple of times I've ridden it appeared like the ride was closed because there was nobody there to ride it,why you would need a FP for that I don't know.

How in the world are you spending 12k? Holy moly!

Oh Disney, why do you want to make all of our vacations stink.
I really wish I could take the block-headed executives who brainstormed FP+ and make them stand in line for an hour with my three year old. IF they survive, maybe then they'll see what a completely boneheaded decision all this was.
I want my family-friendly, easy-going, flexible-on-the-fly, Disney vacations back![]()
The sad thing is to think of all the new rides they could've built with 1.5 billion dollars.
Silly Disney, you didn't need to slap a band on everyone's wrists and a + at the end of FastPass to make more money; you only had to build a few more wonderful rides to accommodate more people.
If you'd built it, they would've come...![]()

Honestly, I don't understand what the big deal is. First of all, they are OBVIOUSLY testing different ideas. It's not always going to be tiered in this exact way. Secondly, though, if waiting an hour in line for one of the headliners is going to make you not come back to Walt Disney World for a vacation, you must not like it all that much to begin with.
I don't. Not a single person in my family enjoys lines. An hour in line is at least 40 minutes of pure hell. Having a larger family magnifies it. Not everyone even has the same interests. The limit of 3 makes it so not everyone can even ride their favorite ride. The shows (what's left of them) are the same as they have been for years. The shops don't have anything worth browsing--if you've seen one, you've seen it all and it's Walmart quality. The dining isn't superb, never has been, but it used to be the service was good and the atmosphere fun. Rides are all that is left.Right. Untiered was the test.
It was obvious to many that three of the parks don't have enough to do. Disney's decision to force people towards 'under-utilized' ride capacity comes at a great time for the firm in town that is actually building headliner attractions.

If you are referring to me (I don't have a signature that reveals any personal info--number of people or resort)...
6 people, 4 disney adults, APs due to length of trip,
Thanksgiving Week (no discount) + a few days, no discounts
Dining surcharges, no discounts (TiW blackout week)
etc, etc, etc
It all adds up pretty quickly
I think it's time to jump on the train to reality.
I highly doubt that they are just throwing ideas against the wall to see what sticks. They very definitely have ideas in mind and are trying to go with it. Tiering there, tiering taken away, teiring is back.

Sounds like you really don't enjoy WDW much anyway

Adding and improving the attractions would have been a much better use of all that money. Why not expand Toy Story Midway Mania across into the building that housed the lame Journey into Narnia show. I know it has a Jack Sparrow attraction now but it is evident that the continued popularity of TSMM warrants an expansion.
Hoping they figure it out.Wow... I just flashed back to the 80's. And not in a good way.
