Tiered FP+ for DHS

oh my god, will everyone just stop already? I usually like to come on these boards and read up on tips and past experiences that I could maybe put into my own upcoming trip. But nowadays, all I ever read about is how upset people are with the new system, how awful its going to be, how their trips are ruined because they wont be able to get on toy story right away. First off, its a theme park, there is going to be lines, plain and simple. Go to any theme park in the world and there will be lines, if there wasn't, then Im sure that theme park wouldn't be able to stay open for business. Second, just be glad you are going on vacation with your families. So you wont be able to ride toy story back to back to back, is that really going to ruin your whole vacation? Why don't people here stop with the complaining and just enjoy the time with your families. Enjoy the looks on your children's faces as they experience all the magic of Disney. Life is way too short to sit here and pout over lines at a theme park. It seems to me that all the "parents" here are making a big deal over something their children wont even notice. Do you guys really think your children are going to pout because they cant ride toy story 5 times in a row? There is so much more to Disney then riding one ride multiple times. And personally I think everyone should just stop complaining and go make some magic with your families. I remember when my parents brought me to Disney for the first time, it was so magical with all the surroundings. Did I sit there and whine and complain cause the legacy fastpass distribution sucked when it first came out? No. I was a child and just being in Magic Kingdom was as magical as a child as I could ever remember. So instead of all these people complaining on here about lines, and fast pass plus, and whatever else you seem to be *****ing about, just take time and remember you are on vacation with your family, and the children themselves are surrounded in magic. And yes I know some of you guys will come back with the arguments about how much money you put into your vacation, blah blah blah, but that could be used against anything, not just Disney. If you are willing to put so much money into a trip, its always a risk, but you enjoy it to the best that you can. Hell people put so much moneys into cars that eventually break down, food that expire, wedding days that end up in divorce, I could go on and on. Regardless of how much money you put into it, that's YOUR choice. All Im saying is everyone take a fricken chill pill, step back from the ledge, breathe, and just enjoy the ******* time you have with your family. Why waste all of this time complaining. Just enjoy it, cause you never know how much time you have left in this world.

Speaking of taking a chill pill. I see you are new here (at least to posting)...and that you have twice used profanity in your post (as noted by the the *** marks blocking out the offending words). Foul language is neither permissible on these boards nor necessary to get your point across.

All of this...the complaints...the defense...the apologists...the doomsayers...is nothing more than DISCUSSION. On a Disney Discussion board. THIS is what the boards are here for.

Welcome to the DIS.

I'm here on the forums cuz I'm anticipating my trip. I love to go and can't wait. Observing the drama is a way to satiate the desire to go now. FP+ will be fine. We'll deal. :)

I go to WDW now as an adult cuz of the memories that were created, as a kid. And back then I went before FP existed. We didn't care about the lines we were thrilled to be going on the ride. Aside from Space Mountain, most of my memories are not of "we got to go on X 5 times in a day" but of subtler things. Like I remember taking pictures in front of some adventureland totem poles that are no longer there today. Strange it's the little things that really are what makes the trip to a kid.

Yupp exactly. Its just a shame that parents these days are so into the trip themselves that they totally forget about their kids, and what makes Disney magical to them. I cant stand sitting here and seeing all these people freak out over lines at a theme park. They sit here and complain and obviously that kind of attitude will affect a kids perspective of how magical Disney could be. People can be so selfish these days, I feel bad for the kids.

I predict long lines at RnR. My DH does RnR in the single line. As long as that stays open, I'm OK. I sure hope they increase the amount of FPs you can have in the future, or be able to split between parks if hopping. Those are my only issues.

Depending on the time of year you go, single rider on RnR does not always mean shorter wait. On my last trip the week after New Years the single rider line ended up being slower than the regular line. I know this for a fact because the people in front of me in line were doing the single rider line (hoping to get 2 rides in) while their parents and a younger kid were going through the regular line. The parents passed us while we were in the alley waiting to board. We still had a 15 minute additional wait after they passed us. It was the only single rider line with that problem.

So I should enjoy the tiered FP+ system because I could die tomorrow? And the complainers are taking this too seriously ;)

No, you don't have to enjoy it, that's your opinion. But instead of sitting there and complaining over and over about it, how about just enjoy your trip instead of stressing out over things you cant change? Im just saying people should try to enjoy life instead of complaining about everything. If you did die tomorrow, would you really want your last day to be about stressing out over a stupid Disney policy? Seems like a waste.

Hey, no complaining about board content from lurkers! If you don't like the board content contribute and change it. A lot of people have spent a lot of keystrokes here demanding other people post more happy happy joy joy, but they aren't giving us much happy happy joy joy themselves. Put up or shut up.

Are these big deals in the context of life, existence, and our place in the universe? NO, of course not.

Are these big deals in the context of planning a Disney trip. YES, duh.

You are on a Disney-oriented message board, sitting in an air-conditioned or heated space on an electronic device wasting your own time complaining about people who have legitimate concerns about their Disney trip. Context is everything, and pretty much everyone here understands the context. Pretty much.

I apologize for the profanity. All Im saying is people should stop worrying so much over something they have no control over. I cant stand the people who sit here and say how much they put into their trips and how there's lines at the theme parks. Please show me a theme park that doesn't have lines?

so not being able to ride toy story or any other headliner 5 times in a row is a legitimate concern? very interesting.

I hope that after I die, people will say of me: "That guy sure owed me a lot of money."

Yes, by all means when all else fails, turn to hyperbole.

I've never understood why discussing something on a message board = stressing out about it. I enjoy the discussions here. I'm not a particular fan if fp+, though I am withholding final judgement until it is all rolled out. I can assure you, however, that I am in no way "stressing out over a stupid Disney policy."

Alright, I'm going to try this ONE more time. Just because I post my concerns about what is happening does NOT mean that I will not enjoy my trip. You better believe I'll enjoy the trip, Hey! Christmas at DW! C'mon, are people really so intolerant that seeing posts about Disney trip concerns on a Disney forum will prompt them to flame? Really? I've seen some really negative posts on here, MAINLY, about people who are a little anxious about an upcoming trip or who have cancelled their trip due to anxiety.

If you do not like to hear any anxiety, or if you feel reading a concerned post will influence your stay or the way you think about Disney, IN ANY WAY, then just skip the friggin post! If it doesn't apply to YOU, then don't bother! Don't bother coming here to tell us NOT to post our concerns, NOT to denigrate Disney in anyway, NOT to be anything less than "happy, happy, joy, joy".

Because you know? The poster who just came back and is less than stellarly thrilled with the experience might post something that YOU can learn from. I know I have. :goodvibes
