If I prebook two FP+ for Epcot, can I book a second Tier 1 immediately after checking in to the 1st, or must I use the Tier 2 before booking a new Tier 1?

I am curious too, because last year when we went, we were informed at the kiosks (trying to get another FP after using our first one while we still had 2 more later on) that we had to use(or time window pass) all 3 first ones before we could get another FP. This was in MK, but I would guess it would not matter with tiering if you still have to use all 3 before you get more selections. I know with your phone app now being capable to make FP+ selections, you could schedule one tier 1, "forfeit" your other 2 FP's and then after using that 1 could get another for a different tier 1 (if they are available).

It may work if your first tier 1 is your only FP+ booked for the day.

I have a question along the same line. I really only want 1 FP in Epcot and curious if I could get another tier 1 after using that first FP if I only originally schedule 1 FP. I know if you have 3 scheduled, all 3 have to be used before the 4th. But I don't want / need the 2nd tier ones.

You won't be able to book another tier 1 in the same park until you either use or let expire two tier 2's.

I was wondering that also because there are no tier 2s that I want to use. Seems silly for me to schedule 2FP that I won't use just to get another tier 1.

But if you didn't book any tier 2s (regardless if you wanted to use them or not) then you would essentially be booking only tier 1 attractions...which is not how the system is designed.

Agree. I can somewhat understand not allowing more than 1 tier 1 pre booked FP, but if I get there and use Soarin' and want to book another, I should be able to do so. Instead, I'll book 2 bogus ones and hope for the best. I am planning in trying to move the tier 2 ones up so hopefully I can use them faster and have a shot at anither tier 1. Going Sept 9-12 and not sure what to think about crowds. I know that us usually low crowds, but have also read folks are wondering if lower summrr means busier fall.

If they allowed that, everyone would try to do that. There aren't enough available Tier 1's for everyone to just book Tier 1's, so they try to make it so that everyone gets to book one Tier 1 as opposed to a third of the guests book them all and two-thirds of the guests only get Tier 2's.

I get they want to make sure everyone has the ability to get a tier 1 ride. It's my opinion there is a difference b/t setting 2 up in advance vs getting a 2nd one the day of. Just seems extremly wasteful to not use the 2 other ones and not need them when others mihht actually want them. I'm still hoping for the day they will let us pick the initial 3 in diff parks.

No one wants the tier 2 that's why they are tier 2. You are not stealing anything from anybody.

I just booked my Epcot FP+, I just picked 2 tier 2's for the morning that I have no intention of using and then after I do my tier 1 I'll pick another.

If you can book another FP as soon as you scan the first Mickey can you only book another Tier 1 after using your scheduled Tier 1 or does it not regulate tiers once FP started?

You can book another Tier 1 for a different park but not the same park until that Tier 1 & both Tier 2's have been scanned (or had the window pass).

You have to use (or let expire) all 3 Fast Passes before you can book a 4th. Once you use the first 3, you can select any FP that is available (Tier 1 or 2) for the 4th. However, the Tier 1 rides are likely to have little, if any, availability as a 4th selection.

You can't do that. You will have to wait until the two Tier 2's times pass before you can book the 4th.
