Wow! 39 hours is a long time. I had never let them sit that long. I had let mine sit for 24 the most and 6-8 hours some of them with the same result on colors.
OMG!!! What beautiful shirts from everyone!! I was planning to just do an iron on transfer for our handmade shirts for this trip.....but looking at these....I just can't resist making these instead!! I am realistic and understand that mine won't be as perfect as all of these, but we will give it a try anyway!
My kids will be so excited! We have tie-dyed once before (basic, blotchy design only)...they will be so happy to do it again.....but this time with MICKEY and spiraled!! Oooooo....I'm excited.
Thanks to everyone for all the great instructions, tips and ideas!
And finally, the end result:

My shirts are done!! I am pretty happy with the results! I am trying to decide if I should use the bleach pen to outline Mickey's head or if I am going to use some puffy paints for the outline. Any thoughts?
Here are my shirts. These first two are for DS. The red one came out better than the yellow one.

These next two are mine and DH. These green ones turned out the best!

Finally, these are my DSis, DMom, and DBro.

Not too bad for my first attempt! They are hanging up downstairs drying right now. I am super excited for everyone to see them. Only DH knows about the shirts, so I think I am going to save them and surprise everyone once we are down there. Thanks for all the tips!
