Tickled: Waitlist for F & W Cleared!!

I've been on two waitlists for Epcot Area resorts for a F & W weekend since the 7 month window. I've checked the Vacation Center multiple times a week and never found anything open. Our place holder was at VWL -- not too shabby and certainly would have been fine.

Today, checking email, I discovered our waitlist had come through for a Beach Club studio. When I finally got DH to answer his phone, he was even excited. And this is a man who always says, I don't care about the resort, it's just a place to sleep.

So I hope someone gets our VWL room, and I know this will increase our fun at F & W.

Great! We'll be at BCV for the first full weekend in October, dedicated 2 bedroom w/2queens. It's a convenient home base for F&W!

I think that's why DH finally got excited. I called MS (I wasn't sure if it would be done automagically) and they had already changed our ME to reflect the Beach Club!

Thanks so much for the encouraging news, and congratulations. We've been on the Waitlist for a BCV 1 BR during the F&W since March. When are you going? If (and hopefully when) our waitlist comes thru, we'll be making someone else's dreams come true-currently we have a BCV studio.

Congratulations on you waitlist coming through. This gives me some hope.

I was on the waitlist for the elusive BCV dedicated 2br w/2 queen beds since Feb 29. Earlier this week I had to cancel the 1st 3 nights of our planned vacation at BLT in a dedicated 2 br (I'm sure I made someone happy tho) so now we are waitlisted for that BCV 2br for only 4 nights starting on Tues Oct 2. Hoping that this increases our odds. It's just good to know that things are starting to loosen up.

Your good fortune gives me a little hope also. Just need one night in BCV studio for son and new bride before they leave on cruise. Have SSR but would really like to get BCV since they really want to spend that afternoon and evening at EPCOT. Of course the night they need is probably the first Saturday of F&W so don't hold out much hope. It was a decision made in May so really did get on the WL late.

Congratulations - love BCV especially for the food/wine festavial.

remember walking to EPcot - go under the bridge not over it - it will save you a couple of minutes.

you can only do this from the BC side not BWV.

So we'll wave as we pass. I'll be checking into BCV on the 22nd. Wouldn't it be something if we got the same studio? I definitely have a studio on the 22nd and 23d, just waiting for a 1 BR for when DH shows up on the 24th.
