tickets on reservation question

Looking at a one night reservation and then using DVC points for the remainder of the trip. I thought about adding the tickets to the first night's reservation but online you can only choose a 2 day ticket with a one night reservation. Does anyone know if they can add days to the tickets on the reservation without adding nights if I call?

I would think you should be able to do a room only reservation, then buy the tickets separately for as many days as you need.

But yeah, definitely call if you need them tied directly to the first stay.

Just book the room only and purchase tickets separately.

That doesn't sound like a problem. MDE should allow you to add both the resort and DVC stays just like it would if you were doing a split-stay at DVC and people do that all the time. MDE should then also allow you to add ticket to those days regardless of where you are staying. If it doesn't, then guest services should be able to sort it out for you.
