Tickets not bought from Disney and Magic Bands

So I am trying to learn as much as I can about magic bands and one of the questions I have is is I purchase met lets from say Undercover Tourist or stare agency my sil works for,how do you link them to your magic bands to make fp+ reservations? Thanks

Put their numbers into your MyDisneyExperience file.

So new tickets have numbers on them? Or would older tickets have numbers as well?

Back in the day we couldn't even find out how many days we had left on passes
