Tickets...I'm confusing myself!

We have 1 day park hoppers (2 adults, 2 kids) coming. When we get to WDW Guest Services, we can upgrade them. I was trying to figure out how much that will cost. We will be in WDW for 8 days (7 nights). There are no gate prices for 8-day tickets, on ticketmania's comparison chart. Can I not upgrade these to 8-day hoppers then? So if we wanted to go for a little while the last day (which we can, easily, since we like to start our drive in the evening), we have to get another whole ticket? Or is it upgradeable to 8-day in a mysterious way? Mousesavers shows an 8-day price...DOES the gate have 8-day?

Anyone know? And someone check my math...if we have 1-day hoppers (expiring), to change to SEVEN-day since that has a gate price, that would cost us 535.18? And if mousesavers price for 8-day is right, it would cost 545.82 to upgrade to that?

Is your 1-day hopper left over from a previous trip? You say it's "expiring" which is confusing the heck out of me. How can a 1-day pass not be expiring?

Sorry to confuse. It is actually comp tickets from WDW. Normally, those apparently "have no cash value" so can't be added to, but due to our specific situation at the time, WDW is giving us actual 1-day hopper tickets instead, so that we can, in fact, upgrade them to the length of our trip.

When did you get those 1 day hoppers? If before 1/2/05 they are not "Magic Your Way" and all "upgrades" are in the form of trading in their dollar value towards a new MYW ticket. A totally unused ticket may be traded up towards any kind of new ticket.

Alternatively it would require a waiver-favor on Disney's part to equate pre-2005 1 day hoppers to one day MYW hoppers whose dollar value is $101. for trade up purposes.

For MYW pass gate prices: An 8 day expiring pass costs four dollars more than a 7 day expiring pass. An 8 day non-expiring pass costs $51. more than a 7 day non-expiring pass. (A 9 day pass costs $4. more than an 8 day pass, whether or not non-expiring.)

I should be receiving them in the next couple of weeks, so they are definitely MYW + parkhopping.
