Tickets - how long before

I know Virgin state tickets will possibly be received 3 weeks prior to date of departure. I wondered what everyones experiences are. Has anyone had to make contact with Virgin to get them or received them just at the last minute?

In all the times (3) Ive used Virgin I have never had a problem - always got the tickets well in time.

We fly out with Virgin 23/1, and our tickets arrived on Thursday, i.e 2 weeks before we leave, so my advice would be not to worry

Thanks for the replies so far, just getting so close to the trip I am starting to think of what can go wrong - stress! We are moving house and part of country on our return (bad planning) and I am up to my eyes in planning, getting paranoid I think. I think I need a holiday!

LOL we did exactly the same Elaine last May.

I got back from Florida on the Thursday and we moved the following Friday!!! At least we had the bank holiday of the Queens Golden Jubilee to do the packing!

Have a great time and dont think of the moving till you land back in the UK!

I think my method was better, move on Friday and go on holiday the following Friday! At least we knew it was all done when we flew off, and amazingly I was able to put the chaos of the new house out of my mind for 2 weeks with very little effort....

Our Virgin tickets arrived less than 2 weeks before departure. We had a slight panic at the time but all was well. See below:

Incidentally I complete forgot about the comment about Magic Mining Company and we did eat there. I would rate it average - reasonable value (we had the special offer prime rib) and the kids enjoyed the surroundings, service was attentive but not as 'in your face' as others (e.g. the TGIF across the road). Above all it scored for me as we walked from the hotel which meant that I could have a beer or two so my memory may be a bit blurred!!

We have eaten before (10 years ago!) at Key W. Kools a few hundred yards further up and I would rate it better than Magic Mining Company - but it is more expensive.

I bvought my tickets from UnderCoverTourist and they delivered in 6 days from time I ordered for free

I posted earlier last month & was concerned about delivery, but it worked out fine. They were cheaper than Virgin too . Apparently people also check out ticketmania too for cheap prices.

No panic, well done Virgin. 21 days to to and the tickets etc arrived this morning.

Accompanying them are confirmation of the tickets we have purchased and they say they can be exchanged at the main gates/ticket booths when accompanied with photo ID. I thought we would have to attend a welcome meeting to collect them, thats a bonus.
