Tickets for new DVC owners

Thats the big question???? I can't believe that a post 4/2016 resale buyers hasn't tried to buy one yet. We are going to try at the end of April.
You can try now online. You can go to the annual pass page. If you see the Gold Pass, you can buy it. If it is not an option, look for a place to sign in. If you sign in, you should see the Gold Pass as an option. If you do not see it, you may not be eligible. If you are not eligible for the Gold Pass, it looks to me like you can still purchase the Platinum Pass.

The Gold AP option does come up when I log in (even though I'm a post 4/2016 resale owner), but you still have to show up in person with our DVC card to activate it. Which might present a problem.

We purchased 7-Day Park Hopper Passes on Parksavers and want to upgrade them to Gold AP's when we go this April. Hopefully we can.

I bought after the April 4 time frame and I have a membership card that I can pull up on my phone. My question is why does my dvc member site offer the gold pass and all other passes at discount prices for that matter, if I am unable to purchase it? I know when I try to book a fireworks cruise it tells me my membership is ineligible. Has anyone had success purchasing a gold pass after the resale cut off date and redeeming it when you go on your trip?

You will not be able to activate the pass. When you go to booth to do your upgrade, they will ask for your blue DVC card. If you don't have the card (only the phone version), they will enter the number into the computer - it will come up that you are not eligible for the gold pass.

What fireworks cruise?

You have to put them into your shopping cart on the website to get the total cost with taxes

I just priced out Disney vs Undercover tourist. 8 day park hopper Disney $1347 Undercover $1379. I don't get it.

With the Mousesavers link I see $458.92 from UCT and $478.19 from Disney both including tax. So for 3 adults which seems like it might be what you are pricing $1376.76 UCT vs $1434.57 from Disney.

We recently purchased direct. We were told those buying resale could no longer get the Gold Pass- for whatever that is worth

Did you account for the fact that UT prices they're with tax and Disney doesn't.

Thanks for clearing the ticket price issue for me. I wasn't aware, though I should have been, that tax is added to some of them but not all of them. Thanks very much.

I believe the criteria for Gold Passes are either FL residency or DVC member ....DVC member purchaser must have purchased either direct from Disney OR resale prior to April, 2016. I think that's one of the reasons the new member cards have dates on them....not sure on that...but seem to remember reading it somewhere.

They will be activated the first day you use them. So your 13 months would start in September.

But if a year later, you renew your annual passes, the renewal year would start in September also, not when you first use it.

But if you got the extra month from their promotion and first used them in September, wouldn't your renewal date start in October the following year? If not, then it's not really a free extra month!

Yes of course you are right. For the 13 month renewal would be October. Sorry.
