Does anyone know if you receive any park tickets for attending a DVC presentation while at Disney? I was trying to work out how many days of hoppers to buy for an upcoming trip - and we are planning on doing a DVC presentation/tour to look into buying DVC. I had heard someone at sometime say something about getting one day tickets for attending the presentation - just seeing if that was true?
thanks!

If you ask, you can get a few (3) "super" fastpasses that are good for skipping a line or two. And you get ice cream.

If you have kids with you, they have a great activity room that they will enjoy while you talk and tour with your guide.

No free park tickets. They sometimes give out fastpasses, sometimes just ice cream.

We went on our last day so didn't need the fast passes. Instead they gave us $15 gift cards for all of us that attended (6 gift cards in total).

We got the $15 "Tastes" as well since it was out last day. We also had the offer of the three "immediate" FastPasses each, but were no able to use them. Having an 8 am presentation precluded ice cream, even though it was offered.

Cheers.

We couldn't do the ice cream, but had the choice of $15 gift cards or 3 instant fastpasses. We took the fastpasses. :)

I have heard of other timeshare resorts, not DVC, giving away Disney park passes. But that has been a while.

Got 3 Immediate Fastpass per person..4 of us so we could all use the immediate fastpass 3 times...Worked out well..Got the choice of the gift cards, but chose the Fastpass.

A friend of mine went on the DVC tour last month. For her family of 4, they gave her 20 fastpasses.

Was this before or after you had bought in to DVC that you went on the tour? We just bought in last night and are planning on using our developer's points in October for F&W festival. Can you do the tour after you've already bought in?

I just talked to my guide last night about that. We're waiting for our contract to arrive in the mail and we already have a trip planned and paid for this November. I asked if we could meet with him while we're there and tour Saratoga Springs Resort. He said sure, just give him a call a couple days before we arrived. I asked nicely about the possibility of getting some FastPasses and he said sure, no problem. Forgot to ask him about ice cream. :rotfl:

Thanks! I don't think we'll get to meet our guide, seeing as she is in California, but I'd still like to take the tour. Where did you buy in?

We're buying into AKV with October use year, getting all the incentives with the new 160 point contract. Just had a call from Gib, our guide, and he said we would have our member number this afternoon. Haven't even received the paperwork yet, but by tonight we'll be "members." Woot!!

I've been following DVC for several years but never had an opportunity to purchase. My mom passed away in May and after settling her estate it we decided to go ahead and buy in. Life is short - eat (Disney) dessert first. ;)

I can completely relate. My parents have been DVCers since I was a kid. I always knew that I would buy in. DH and I got married at Disney last summer and with all of the incentives, we thought it was the perfect time.

We were there last week, and we bought AKV. They do not give you park tickets. Just fast passes for everyone in your party, and ice cream. If you buy and are there a long time, they will give you lots and lots of ice cream ;)
