Planning on getting our 4-day base tickets for October thru Undercover Tourist. I've gone back and forth in the past b/w them and tickets straight from Disney. We def save a bit going thru UT this time around. Can anyone think of a legit reason to pay a little more and go the direct from Disney route instead?
No, having to link the UT tickets manually isn’t difficult, so having the Disney ones link automatically isn’t enough of a benefit to make me spend the extra $!

I have searched this thread and haven't seen the answer to my questions. I just got an annual pass. We are planning to visit in October. Can I go online to check on the passholder discount for a resort? Do I add the annual pass to MDE now or when we arrive? I wish I'd thought to ask when I bought the tickets.

Yes. You can can book your hotel at the AP discounted price, but you will need to activate the AP before check in. Or at least that is the way used to be.

You have 24 hours after check-in to activate the AP.

Yes, add the AP voucher to your MDE. You should be able to look up AP rates, but if not anyone can get that info by calling.

Buying APs online before our trip, and booked our hotel with an AP discount. What do we need to do to “activate” the AP so our discount is valid - will we need to pop by a park or Disney Springs? Or is there a way to activate thru MDE, or by calling?

Related question - our party is flying in 2 separate groups, and 1 group lands late. Assuming we do have to go somewhere to activate, can I activate APs for the whole group if 2 people aren’t there in person? Or will the 2 people landing late need to activate the next day in person?

An Incredi-pass should automatically activate when you use it to enter a park. If you or anyone in your party has a DVC or FL resident AP then the adults will need to go to Guest Relations to show ID (and proof of residency for FL res). That can be done outside a park or at Disney Springs but the adults must do it for themselves.

Be sure to make theme park reservations.

Thanks for the reminder about reservations! For some reason I thought we didn’t need them I’d staying on property, oops!!

Ok, if I can’t activate everyone at once, sounds like I might as well wait and activate everyone during our first park visit the next morning. (We’ll be getting the Sorcerer pass.) We have 24 hours to activate after we check into our hotel with the AP discount, correct? Do we just need to activate the AP or do we need to also go to the front desk again within those 24 hours? (24 hours would expire around noon, APs will be activated by about 8am, but probably wouldn’t be getting back to the front desk til maybe late afternoon…)

Yes, theme park reservations are needed whether staying onsite or offsite. There may be “good to go” days but those don’t tend to drop until close.

You can stop by the front desk anytime.
