Buy the tickets separate, getting everyone the ticket they need/want. You have 3 different "start" dates plus the different length of ticket. If you might want to purchase LLMP/LLSP/LLPP everyone needs to have tickets on their profile before that 7-day mark.

So we have a rewards program through work where we earn points through a company BI Worldwide. I have enough points to get a 7 day 1 park ticket (over 10 days). 7 days is the longest ticket they offer. But we are going for 8 park days (over 11 days) in August. It says "Tickets are non-refundable, non-changeable, and non-transferable." If I get them and add them to MDE, do you think I would be able to add a day? Or would I end up buying a 1 day ticket for the 8th day? Would having 2 tickets for me cause any problems?

I'm hoping to get clarification on my thoughts regarding buying an AP for the first time and using the discount for one of our BWI rooms (we'll have 2). I assume I can have 2 rooms booked in my name on separate reservations under different rates for the same stay? I can just link both to my MDE and assign the appropriate F&F to each reservation? I will activate sharing with all too and we'll assign the appropriate CCs and PINs for charging at check-in. Anything I'm not thinking of there?

If I go ahead and reserve the AP discount at BWI for the one room and purchase the AP for myself only (others will have individual tickets of their own, which we will link accordingly to my MDE) before we arrive, do I need to enter EPCOT to activate the AP before checking into BWI? So, we'll land at MCO, Uber to BWI and then I just have my family hang out until I pop into the park to activate my AP and head back to BWI to check-in?

My other question is with regard to MP & LLs. If I link my AP to my MDE but don't activate it until I enter EPCOT on arrival, can I still book MP & LLs 7 days prior to check-in?

Oh...and can I make park reservations for my AP before activating it? Am I correct that since we're staying at BWI I can make reservations for the length of our stay (i.e. 6 or 7 park days for a 7 night stay)? This would be the Incredi-Pass, if that matters. There aren't blackout dates on that one, right?

Please feel free to throw anything else at me that I may not have considered or should be aware of as a potential rookie AP holder. I don't know why it feels more complicated to me, but it does.

How do you know if BWI has an AP discount for your dates if you are not an AP holder yet? You have to have an AP to see the AP discounted rates and availability. Just because discounts are offered, it does not always apply to all room types or all dates, it's a limited number of rooms. If you do buy an AP and the discount does apply, you can use it for more than one room.

I'm not familiar with BI Worldwide. Do you know what kind of ticket they offer? Do you select a "start date" for the 7-day ticket? If it's a standard date-based WDW Theme Park Ticket, you should be able to upgrade it to add the 8th day but not until after you arrive. (That means you won't be able to purchase LLMP/LLSP/LLPP for all 8 days in advance.)

You can buy a separate 1-day ticket. Check prices and decide if that's really worth it for you (1-day tickets range from $119 to $194 depending on date and park). You would want to stop at Guest Relations and have the correct ticket "prioritized" to be used on the right day.

Hoping to get an answer for my neighbor who is about to purchase an annual pass for her daughter. Their first trip is in May of this year. They have another trip planned for September. Her daughter is turning 10 in July. The AP is the same price for child and adult so does it automatically change from child to adult upon her birthday? Or does a new AP need to be re-issued? my neighbor said she did call and speak with a CM but did not received a clear answer. I couldn't help her with this one either. Her concern is that the September trip will show the "child" AP when her dd is actually 10. Thoughts? tia!

Good that your TA is able to see passholder availability, and yes, it is the same as an AP discounted rate. If it's not available under an AP rate, there are also some other good resort discounts for the general public, many only 5% less than the AP discounts. With the high cost of an AP for a non FL resident (over $1600 after tax, it's the only pass available to non FL residents) and depending on how often you would use the pass, it might make more sense to see if you can get the general public discount and buy tickets instead. I am not 100% sure about the AP being activated before you can make LLMP selections. I'm sure others will be able to answer that!

It sounds like those are regular date-based tickets. Interesting that they only offer a max of 7-day instead of up to 10-days.

You can only purchase LLMP/LLSP for days that you have a valid admission. If you plan to skip that option for an earlier day you may be able to make it work for a later day within the 10-day valid window of the 7-day ticket. (Note an 8-day ticket is valid for 12 days, and I believe you mentioned you have an 11 day trip.)

Yes, you can make theme park reservations and book LLMP/LLSP/LLPP prior to activating your AP. You should be able to check-in at the resort as well; typically they allow up to 24 hours to stop back and show the activated AP.

It's the same ticket; AP is the same price for child or adult. She'll be fine in September.

Nothing to worry about. My son turned 10 on his AP. The AP will be linked to the child's MDE profile which will have her birthday. So if she will be a child when she starts, buy a child AP and it will still work for the next trip. You don't have to let anyone know or change anything manually.

As @lanejudy mentioned, there is no differentiation between a child's AP and an adult's. Once a child is over 3, they need a pass and it is the same price as an adult's.

If I buy tickets through an outside vendor (Undercover Tourist, for example) and then something comes up and we can't go to Disney, can these tickets be applied to a future trip? I know that this can be done with tickets purchased directly from Disney, but can't find out if the same is true with tickets from a different vendor. Also... If the above tickets are unused, can they be transferred to someone else?

Yes you can apply the value to a future trip and simply pay the difference. Also if you buy from undercover tourist they offer refunds minus a processing fee if you cancel your trip. Just be sure to read the restrictions on that though.
I believe unused tickets can be transferred in MDE.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have been waiting to buy park passes as my son-in-law's grandmother is 97 and just... dwindling. I was hesitating about tickets in case something should happen that means he won't be able to travel with us, know what I mean? However, I'll go ahead and purchase, knowing that the value can be reassigned if he can't go this time.
