Ok I have my hotel and transportation paid but I haven't bought tickets yet!

Here are some ???? I have.

We will be there for 5 days but I was thinking about buying 4 day park hoppers that seems like plenty. Maybe spend one day just swimming or looking at all the disney hotels and riding the monorail. We have never gone over and even seen the disney hotels before. Just a day to hang and do nothing. I have been looking at the medieval or pirate dinner but no nothing about them. So any good ideas of what to do on a day of nothing? We have been to disneyland 3 times and normally do it in 3 so I think 4 is great! Have more leisure time!

So I haven't bought tickets as I am still deciding if this is a good plan? We also don't get money for them until about 2 weeks before we go. I really want to but through Areas travel or get away as they are cheaper. How does that work with being so close till we leave? Does anyone know!

Thanks so much for all your help!

When is your trip? If you are going before April 29, the tickets are kids prices. Meaning it would only be a couple bucks more to get a 5 day hopper. Then if you wanted to go into the parks for the evening, you still could. Swim and relax during day, hits parks by night. Looks like $8 more to get a 5 day hopper.

That's what I was thinking.

If you only get the 4 days, then realize that 4 days isn't enough, to upgrade would mean you would lose any savings you got by, say, buying the kid's price tickets. Whereas if you bought the 5 day tickets, even if you didn't want to spend an entire day at a park, you could go in to just ride one fave ride, and it wouldn't be like you were wasting 70 bucks on it...it would just be a relative few dollars.

That said, seeing all of the hotel interiors would be fun! The DLH grounds are lovely (bring some money to "drive" the little jungle cruise boats) and there are arcades at each one (I think there's one at DLH).

Just so you know, you need to have a ticket to ride the monorail as it goes from DTD into Disneyland. Have a great trip!

I bought our tickets from lastminutetravel.com and saved over $80 off the price from Ares. We got 5 day park hoppers because it was less than $20 more than 4 day PHs for our family of 5 (we paid only $724). Now we can be more leisurely on our days at DLR because we have so many days available to go.

Last November I bought tickets from GetAwayToday.com. I had planned on buying e-Tickets from the Disney web-site, but each ticket from GAT was $10 cheaper.

The day before our trip, I called GAT on the telephone and I purchased 4-day Park Hopper tickets with my credit card. Within minutes, GAT sent me an e-mail that had an Invoice number. (To be on the safe side, I printed out the e-mail and I brought it with me.)

To get the actual tickets, you will need to go to a Ticket Booth and show them your I.D.

IMO it wouldn't hurt to bring the credit card, just in case.

HTH :earsboy:

OK Molly, what is that about please. I don't believe that I know anything about that. :scared1: Where have I been? :lmao:No really..... TIA

how does the lastminute travel tickets work. Can I order them a few days before going? Do they send you an email or what? I have bever ordered through them and would love to hear experiences from those who have used them and redeemed their tickets!

I ordered tickets & character dining from LMT. I ordered on Feb 9 and received a confirmation the same day. I received another email on Feb 17 titled "Reservation Confirmation" with a voucher that I need to use to redeem the tickets. The time lag between ordering and receiving the voucher made me a little nervous. A

Following is the instruction on the voucher:
***Exchange this voucher at any main entrance Ticket Window to receive your admission tickets. Guest’s staying at a hotel of the Disneyland® Resort may exchange this voucher at the hotel front desk upon check-in for admission tickets. Photo identification will be required for issuance of all Disneyland® Resort theme park tickets. Subject to restrictions and change without notice. VOID IF ALTERED. Disneyland® Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park hours vary and are subject to change without notice. Unused tickets and vouchers are not refundable. ***

We will be there next Wednesday and really don't expect any problem. I'll report back.

Arrived yesterday and used the vouchers LMT sent to redeem our park hoppers and character dining with no problem whatsoever. We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel, so everything was done at check-in. I would definitely use LMT again since the amount of money saved was pretty significant over everywhere else I checked.

We are going from April 20-24.

I did read on here that it is a good idea to make sure that LMT has faxed over your info to Disney before you leave on your trip. I will do that and then also verify with Disney that it was in fact received.
