I went through Maple Leaf tickets website, and was surprised they didn't charge tax. Is this normal? I went all the way to entering my cc, and the total didn't change.

If this is true, it is way cheaper than advance price from Disney. Anyone have experience with this? Or a suggestion for a cheaper wholesaler?

Thanks.

Yes no tax! They say it's included in the ticket price. The cheapest I've ever seen is Hotwire savings Club $303 for a 7 day hopper, tax included and free shipping.

Living in NY, this is why I love to shop online. Rarely am I charged any sales tax. When I can combine it with free shipping, I'm really a happy camper! ;)

You'll only be charged if the seller has a location in New York. If it does, then they are generally required to collect it.

You should know, however, that New York residents generally are still legally required to pay New York state sales tax for out-of-state internet and mail order purchases if they did not pay tax at the time of purchase. In fact, there is now a specific line on the New York state tax return where you are supposed to be declaring all your internet and mail order purchases, if you weren't charged new york tax.

Can you get away with not declaring it? Yes. Most people do not do so, in fact, or they under-declare. It's worth knowing, however, that people who get audited can get clobbered, including with interest and penalties retroactive several years. If it can be proven that you knowingly entered zero when you knew it wasn't zero, it can be worse that that. New York is one of the states that's been zeroing in on this. ("Cracking down" is probably too strong, but you get the point.) It's about the easiest thing in the world to prove, by the way, unless you pay for things exclusively with checks or paypal.

Not trying to come off like a do-gooder here or judging anyone. Just trying to call people's attention to something many don't really understand. It's worth reading the instructions to your return carefully or talking to one's accountant to make sure you're making an informed choice.
