Ticket upgrade ???

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to upgrade a brand new-UNUSED PHP to an A/P? I would like to start buying tickets for our December trip, but right now, I'm not sure if I can Ebay enough to get all of us A/P's. Our original plans called for 5 day PHP tickets (with 1 A/P if we could get resort Discounts). But the more I think about it, I would like to get us all A/P so that we have to go back next year (at least once). So if I buy our 5Day tickets as I can & then I see that we could swing the difference for A/P's can I exchange them for full credit towards an A/P? Hope that made sense! Thanks! Sandy

You can upgrade any ticket media, whether it's partially-used or brand new. You can't "downgrade" for a refund.

One caveat re: eBay -- remember that there is no way to check if the tickets you're being sold on eBay actually have days remaining on them. So there's always a chance that you'll put out cash for tickets only to discover when you arrive at the parks that they aren't what you thought they were.

I didn't mean that I was buying the Hoppers on Ebay. I sell on Ebay to earn the money for them. Sorry for the confusion. Can I only make the upgrade/exchange at the parks? I was hoping that I could do it at a Disney Store. Thanks, Sandy

We upgraded an unused Park Hopper to an annual pass on our last visit . It was painless and done at guest services at MGM just before we entered.

As far as I know, you can only do the upgrades at Guest Services on property. I don't believe it can be done at the Disney Store.

Your upgrade can only be done at a Guest Relations location at WDW. There is one outside each major park and two at DTD.

TDS and Guest Services cannot do these. TDS can't because they cannot scan the tickets to see what's left on them and Guest Services can't because they do not sell AP's at the resorts.

Thank You! I appreciate that alot! We should have time to do it on our arrival day, and still have time to hit the parks since it won't take a day off our hoppers, essentially starting our vacation a day early! Yeah!!!!!
