Ticket Tagging: Just APs or now with MYW as well?

I'm just curious. I know that disney has been ticket-tagging (biometric scanning) AP holders for quite some time now. Are they going to be implementing this for the MYW tickets as well?

Yes. You can't interchange PHs anymore. We have one left and we are holding on to it for the "non-identity" sake!

It was implemented on Jan 2 for all adult tickets except the old left over tickets.

They never were transferrable.

Yeah, but the old tickets were sold & traded all the time.

We have given a lot of left over days to friends & vice versa over the years.

I am not talking APs, just regular park hoppers & stuff.

Yep. We just got back and had to stick our fingers in the scanner every day. No they never were transferrable, but I had always thought that just meant you weren't supposed to resell them. My son is 15 and we liked to buy a large parkhopper pass and when we would hop down for a short 3 day trip he could bring a friend and use a few days from that ticket. Now we can't do that, his friend will have to have his own three day ticket, which under the new pricing is very expensive per day. We just can't afford to do that and his friends probably won't want to pay such a ridiculous price so I guess Disney just lost an extra guest and my son will just have to go alone.
