Ticket Reseller Questions

I'm considering purchasing tickets through a reseller and have a few questions.

(1) Is there any advantage to purchasing park tickets through Disney versus an authorized reseller?
(2) Can we add additional days to our tickets once we are in the parks if I buy through a reseller?
(3) How do the authorized resellers' business work? Do they actually buy unused tickets guests and repackage and sell them? Sort of confused about how they even exist.

1. No, not really.
2. Yes.
3. Disney sells them to the reseller. The reseller sells them to you.

I buy through Undercover Tourist. Excellent site!
1) UT is cheaper then directly buying from Disney but if you are staying onsite with a package its usually easier to go with the Disney package with tickets (especially if there is some kind of discount offered with package)
2) Yes. You can add days or Park hopper , water parks etc to your tickets. There is a whole thread stickied here talking about that.
3) They are an authorized reseller. Disney sells a large volume of tickets to them to then resell to you at a small discount ($5-12 off gate prices usually)

To expand on #2, this is very easy to do, just use 1 entry first, that way you keep the discount.

The only time it could work against you is if you're wanting to get Free Dining. Free Dining requires a minimum two-day ticket purchased from Disney.

Also, our tickets were about $20 cheaper than UT -- we used Official Ticket Center. They were recommended by Touring Plans, and there's a link on Touring Plans' website to to purchase tickets for an additional discount.

Thanks so much, everyone!!! I signed up for mousesavers. I visited UT, official ticket center and maple leaf and their prices were all within a few cents of each other. I guess if we are doing only 3 park days (going with grandma and grandpa, who will want a more chill trip than us, with more pool tume) the price difference isn't that huge.

Yup.

The OP is talking about buying tickets from an authorized reseller. Not a bad move at all. In fact, it's a very smart one.
In that case then it is fine and Undercover Tourist is who I use and recommend
