Hi- I have some older park hoppers, thinking of upgrading to a new 10 no expire passes for them, have 2 days left on the old ones, vs. just using old passes and then buying new tix. What is the best option? would upgrading asve me money? or am I better off with just using the old and then starting new? I also have like 6 options left on each old pass, does that count toward anything, if I upgrade to new tix, and just get the base 10 day, no fancies?

Use the old tickets. The value that you would be credited towards new ones is too low to make it worthwhile to trade. And I don't think you'll get much of anything for those extra options. We have a bunch of old hoppers that come in handy when someone just needs a day or 2 (new plans make tickets for a few days very costly).

Your best bet is buying ten day non-expiring hoppers which only cost about $15 more than five day. Just use the days on the old tickets. You can check at any Guest Services at WDW and they will let you know exactly what is left on the old tickets. Note that even if all the major park (hopper) entries are used, the minor park (plus options) are still valid until they are used.
