OK so we leave tomorrow and I am still trying to decide what to do for tickets.

The original plan is to but the 5 for 3 hopper and upgrade to a deluxe annual pass.

Then I see the thread about the $50 gift card when you buy a deluxe annual pass a costco so now I am torn.

Main problem is if we just go buy the deluxe annual from costco we will not be able to go on Saturday.

We will be there the 8th to the 13th not going to the park everyday.

Am I missing anything do any of you vets have any info that would help me?
What do you think is the best way to do this trip ?

Thanks

If going on sat is important then I would get the 5 day pass or the 6 day pass and upgrade on sat.

If not going on sat is ok then get the AP from the get go and save every time you eat in the park Im guessing it will be a deluxe pass and you save 10%

What so great about sat anyways the park should be open just as long on friday and have everything sat has.

If your not going to the park everyday why dont you trade sat with another day in the week.

Is a MM important to you? If you start with an AP you don't get a MM (unless you stay onsite). You could start with a PH and upgrade to the AP once you've used you your MM (this is what we've done twice).

MM I thought would be cool but I just don't think we would get up and there in time.

Was wanting to go Saturday because of all the new stuff that starts friday fireworks , fantasmic and the electrical parade.

Good thinking on the extra discount by getting it from the start.

bluegrizzlies1 said it all! And the other answers were good, too. :)

Even if you do start with a normal ticket, there's no purpose in starting with a discount ticket, as you'll just end up paying the full AP amount anyway.

Having a regular ticket and the MM might be nice, not for Sat, but for the middle of the week when maybe the hour starts later on in the day.

There's good and bad on both sides, you just have to decide if paying the same total amount BUT having the $50 giftcard for each AP you buy is benefit enough to exchange another day for Satuday.

On our last day during our trip, we barely went to a park at all, and it was actually kinda nice. We've decided to try to make our last day a NO parks day, even if it means adding another night onto the stay, b/c it's so much more relaxing. Second to last trip, I almost caused us to miss our flight b/c we were "stuck" in the park...got to the gate 5 minutes before it should have taken off. Thankfully it was late getting out anyway, hadn't even boarded, but still... So anyway, there can be benefits to having your last day not be a park day.
