I just reserved a room only at the Poly for April...room only code so didn't get tickets.

we have always had UPH....there doesn't seem to be an 8day PHP ticket option...if we want to go to the parks everyday of our trip is my only option to get 7 day PHP and buy an additional day for one park only?

Hi!

If you are interested, you can still get the UPH.* Just call and order them from CRO. Or you can buy them when you check in, but then you lose the discount for purchasing in advance.

If you are really sure that you want to go to the parks 8 days, then you can buy 2 4 day hoppers or park hopper pluses (each 4 day has 1 plus). You can buy the plain park hoppers in advance from CRO or The Disney Store. If you are interested in the 4 day park hopper plus, there are a number of ticket resellers (ie: Ticketmania) who sell them.

It would be cheaper and you would get a lot more value though for you to buy a 7 day park hopper plus (which has 4 pluses and is about $310 per adult) and a one day/one park ticket (about $55 per adult) than the 2 4 day hopper pluses (which are about $220 per adult.)

Hope that this helps. :)

*edited to change UMP to UPH. I am still thinking of these as Unlimited Magic Passes.

What about just getting an annual pass???? wouldn't that be much cheaper??? Then you can get a discount on your room...if you haven't gotten one already.

It looks like an 8 day UPH is $357 for an adult(10-up) and $286 for a child (3-9) this is if you buy them in advance. You can get them at disneyworld.com

Annual passes for an adult are $379.00 and for a child $322.00.

Hope this helps!!

If you do some research (and register for some newsletters - like the one from Mousesavers) you can find 7 day park hopper pluses for under $330 per adult - including tax and shipping.

But an AP might be your best option particularly if you know that you are going to return in under 51 weeks. :)

Just wanted to add that if at least one of your days will be at a water park only then you could get a 7 day php or less. You don't have to use an admission day to use a plus so you could tour the parks for 7 days and do one water park day with downtown disney, boardwalk or even PI in the evening. Just another idea for you as the 7 day php has 4 plus options so could be stretched to 11 days and is $336 vs the UPH which for 8 days is $380 in 2004, $394 in 2005. The 6 day has 3 plus options so could be stretched to 9 days.

Are you truly going to spend 8 days in the major theme parks??

What about your day of arrival?? Are you arriving in the morning or evening?

What about your day of departure?? Are you leaving in the morning or evening??

Maybe you could use this as an opportunity to visit a water park, or visit Disney Quest for a day.

When you get UPH passes, do you use their full value?? Do you go to water parks, do you go to Pleasure Island every night, do you go to Disney Quest??

Hope this helps.

I agree COMPLETELY with TJ's scenario and Carol's thinking. ::yes::

But I have found that when people are used to using UMPs, they are a little nervous about using any other kind of admission that restricts their movements in any given day at WDW - that is why I made the recommendations that I did.

But if it were our family, we would be using the 7 day PHPs and would probably be taking at LEAST 1 park day and 2 water park days home with us. I LOVE s-tr-e-t-ch-i-ng those PHPs! :)

I also think you can add UPH tickets to room only reservations without it being a package.

Just wait a couple of days until this current round of discount craziness is over and call CRO and ask to purchase UPH passes for your stay.

thanks so much for all of the info...many which I had not considered....

I think me and a calculator have a date tonight to figure out the best value ...

we are going in April so not sure if it wiil be a water park type of a trip or not...and our girls want to see some of disney EVERY day...I would hate to tell them that we couldn't go in a day because I chose the "wrong" tickets
