Ticket Question

I am trying to check unused days on our Park Hopper Plus tickets. I know that the standard answer is that I have to check at Guest Relations at any one of the parks. Some people have posted that they can also be checked at Guest Services at the hotel. Has anyone tried this? All I get from Disney is I have to check them at the parks.

Also, someone posted a couple of weeks ago that they had recently received a phone number to call and check tickets. If you are that person could you please pm the number to me, if you still have it.
