Ticket question

We haven't been to Disney since the MYW new tickets started. All this talk about finger scans is confusing me! We are planning our next trip and are just going to use the left over days and plusses we have from our old park hoppers. We can still do this, right? Will we have to exchange our tickets or have to do the finger scans? Also, can they check our tickets for us at the hotel to see what is left on each one? They kind of all got mixed together. Thanks!

Guest services at your resort or at the park can tell you how many days are left on your old tickets. Those with adult tickets will have to do a biometric finger scan upon entering a theme park and a specific ticket will be associated with that person from then on, so you might want to make sure they don't get mixed up afterwards.

Definitely you can use old tickets. Just check with any Disney Guest Services, also at the parks before you go in, in case you are staying off-site.

My advice is to take a magic marker and put names or initials on the tickets if there is more than one day left.

When you got thru the turnstile the first time, each ticket will be linked to the person whose fingers are scanned. It is very easy, don't be intimidated by the process. You put the ticket in the slot and put your first and second finger in the scanner. Hold still, and the computer will link the ticket to the bio-scan (not finger print), and the ticket will come out the other side.

The problem we had was that something demagnitized 3 of out tickets. She said it could have been my cell phone, or a credit card.
