ticket problem with 7 days to go

my daughters ticket for the plane has come through as Master not Miss
trvel agent said its ok - hope it is - doesthis get used at border control
or is it just for the plane - can abody see any problems i might have

If you are using a travel agent, I would suggest that you insist that they get the ticket fixed. This is their problem, not yours as they would have made the mistake when they made the reservations.

Not sure if you will have any problems or not but I wouldn't be willing to take a chance especially since it is the fault of the travel agent.

agent says its all ok and will give us a letter on headed paper to take to the desk at manchester airport to get new tickets- im just worried that well get there and there will be another problem - seen it soo many times on the t.v.

I'm with the pp on this, if your using an agent and paying an agency fee then they should be getting it fixed. You shouldn't be dealing with a headache or taking time away from your vacation dealing with resolving an issue they made when booking your flight.

Now if it were me that booked and I made the mistake I wouldn't worry so much and would call ahead and attempt to fix direct with the airline. However we are state side and aren't dealing with borders and passports and international flight issues, that's a much bigger can of worms than I would chance fixing right before I was supposed to fly out.

Honestly, your agent's letterhead is about useless to the airport, airlines, and TSA. The agent needs to fix it and shouldn't be expecting you to jump through hoops to fix it. I think your instinct about another problem is dead on. I suggest putting your foot down with your travel agent.

I agree with everyone, why worry when you should not, make them fix it. This way you have peace of mind. Traveling is stressful enough without anything additional to your worries. I made a mistake with my daughter, by putting our last name twice. A simple call to the airlines fixed the problem and I was able to print a new boarding pass with no problem. If the agent will not help you ask to speak to their supervisor.
