Okay, here is the situation. I am travelling with extended family. They are a party of 7 & we are a party of 3. We have a 1 night campground reservation for 10. 6 of the party of 7 have military Armed Forces tickets. Those tickets have been linked to MBs. We will be leaving this weekend. :cheer2:

Now, the problem, the party of 7 has turned into a party of 8. The teenage DS is bring a friend. I know he can not be added to the reservation because we are at the limit so he won't have a MB. That is no problem. We are trying to figure out the best and cheapest way to get him a ticket. The family is wanting to get it at Undercover Tourist and save some money but won't be able to pick it up until the morning of their first park day. I don't think that is a great idea. They want the teenager to have park hopper but one of the military ticket person doesn't need the park hopper. Can we purchase a base ticket, link it, resign one of the military ticket to the teenager and then the person we take off of the military ticket, assign that base ticket to them? Wow....does that sound confusing or what?!?! If we try, do we run the risk of messing things up in our MDE account? Will it be a lot of trouble to even do it? Does even even understand what I am asking? :lmao:

I would forget about all those ticket/MDE gymnastics. If the family wants to save money at the last minute, they can pick up the ticket from UCT. I think the location is somewhere near Universal. (Wouldn't UCT charge a shipping cost for quick-ship? Would negate the savings.) Seems a colossal waste of time, in order to save $15-$20. But it's either that, or spend the extra at the Disney Park Gate and get on with fun at the park. Leave those two choices for the family involved, and don't get into all MDE stuff. You're nobody's Concierge -- you're on vacation! (Just my opinion)

Yeah, I'm trying to convince them that all of this isn't worth the $27 they would save. They will be coming in from 45 minutes away, staying at a friend's home, and would have to wait until the morning of to pick up the ticket from UCT. The UPS place to pick it up from doesn't open until 8 and I'm not even sure how far away from Disney it is. Our first park day is Epcot and I've stressed if they aren't at the park well before RD, they won't be able to ride TT and Soarin' with a long wait for one of them. This is their first trip and they haven't liked all the planning that they have been asked to do. FP+ just about did the dad in. Did not like picking rides before going to the park. I so wish this trip would have been planned last summer!!

Thanks for the help!! :)

Would you know if they could add the water park option to a couple of those military tickets even though they have already been purchased? I know they can't add extra days but wasn't sure about the water parks since that was one of the options to begin with.

Yes, they can add WPF&M to AFS tickets individiually -- at the Disney ticket booths, not at Shades of Green. They'll have to pay 6.5% tax. The upgrade is $29 + tax = $30.89. It's a bargain since tickets don't expire until Sept 27th.

Go to section marked "Disney Theme Park Discounts." http://www.militarydisneytips.com/Disney-Armed-Forces-Salute.html#themepark
July 4th at MK is the last black-out date coming up. I'm sure they know these tickets have to be activated first. Here are the WPF&M options: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets/. You can leave a water park and come back to the same water-same day for one credit. Same goes for DisneyQuest.

The trip to the UPS Store is listed as 19 minutes (14.4 miles) to Epcot. But you know, it takes time to park, tram to entrance, ticket booth, security, catch up with your party. I hope the teen enjoys his stay. I bet he will!
