Ticket prices

Did anyone hear if ticket prices are going up tomorrow? Motley Fool reminded that every February they raise them.

Having been around for a very long time, I can say that they have not raised ticket prices "every" February.
(That has been the case for a few years, but far from "every" Feb.)

The most recent increase was with the "new" ticket system, and that was just this past October, 2018.
So, while it is absolutely POSSIBLE that Disney will raise prices this month, it is also possible
that they won't.

Stay tuned.

Is Disney World Raising Ticket Prices Tomorrow?
The theme-park giant has boosted its ticket prices in February every year since 2014. It's time for another social-media uproar.

February may be the shortest month of the year, but it can be a pretty long one for cash-strapped theme-park fans. Walt Disney has boosted its Disney World ticket prices every year since 1988, and for the past five years, the increase has come on a Sunday morning in February...

This only gives the world's leading theme-park operator three Sundays to get the job done, and this weekend will be the first of three chances to stretch the Sunday hike in February tradition to six years in a row...

It goes on from there.
So, you can see that the author didn't say, "every February."
At least that makes more sense.

Definitely not true that ticket prices have increased every February.
February has been the chosen time in recent years but if you look back you'll see various times of the year they have increased prices and its not always every year either.

I don't believe ticket prices will be going up this February since they did just have a major switch up in ticket structure and pricing in October.
Perhaps they will raise prices again this October in preparation of SWGE like they did with DLR a couple weeks ago but I don't think it will happen before then if it happens.

We just bought our DVC APs for April but the rest of the family won’t be going until November. Thought to save them $ on multiple APs if was true.

I just bought our tickets, just in case they were going to go up!

Ok, not really. I bought them because we had been planning to before they went up. Well, that and I can make FPs two weeks from now. :smooth:

Same reason we got ours. Needed to make FPs. I was hoping they would have another DVC special. Dream on, eh.

Does Motley Fool own Disney stock or something? Sounds like to me they are wanting folks to go out and buy tickets.
Because otherwise, it's a ridiculous notion to say that Disney has raised them "every February" not to mention, they just raised them. I highly doubt they are raising them again. I'd never say never just say unlikely

It didn't?
It sure sounds like it to me.
What is the difference between
"in February every year"
and
"every February"?

I wish we had more emojis than just the like button. Don't we usually have a day or so warning with the price changes? I also thought it was later in February when prices went up but maybe I'm just not remembering correctly.

Don't we usually have a day or so warning with the price changes?

It is often announced on a Friday with the actual change 2 days later on Sunday.
Sometimes one or more of the authorized WDW ticket resellers/discounters will announce that they "expect" an increase "coming soon."

I also thought it was later in February when prices went up but maybe I'm just not remembering correctly.

No "regular" date.
