The regular premium annual passes went up $25 ($26.62) to $754 ($803.01), so the locked in $484 ($515.46) DVC special until April 30 becomes an even better deal.

Single day passes went up to $99 for MK and $94 for the other three parks.

Member Pricing effective 2/23/2014:
DVC AP:
New $485 plus tax ($21 increase)
Renewal $409 plus tax ($15 increase)

DVC PAP:
New $605 plus tax ($21 increase)
Renewal $509 plus tax ($15 increase)
PROMO until 4/30 $484 plus tax

I am SO glad I just purchased our tickets! I bought the 5-day park hoppers from Orbitz and I plan to upgrade them to APs in October. Now I just need to see if the 5-day PH passes went up at least $21:)

The 5-day MYW base increased $15. The park hopper option increased $1 (now $60), the WPF&M option increased $1 (now $60), the combined Hopper/WPF&M option increased $2 (now $86).

SO glad we were there this past week and renewed last Sunday!!! I had no idea a price increase was coming. Was my head in the sand or was it rather sudden?

I wonder about this too. Usually there was some notice ahead on the Dis, but if there was, I missed it.

Usually mousesavers warns us, but I think they got blindsided by this also.
Hopefully they don't raise prices twice this year.

So very frustrating! Ticket prices were just increased in June! Almost bought our tickets on Friday for our May trip but figured hey I got time! Really kicking myself in the teeth right now for not doing so! It's darn near an extra $100 that I have to fork out for our tickets now! Smh!

Check out Undercover Tourist. They don't normally increase their prices right when Disney raised them.

Wow...I just bought my DD's ticket for July through Orbitz using Ebates to get the cash back...glad I at least got it at the old price.

Still waiting to see if the cash back works the way others have said it would, but regardless, at least I missed the increase!

DVC PAP deal now is a steal. Was not going to do it and simply renew but now am considering it.

Ugh! I missed this and want to order through UT using the Mousesavers link. Can someone please forward me their latest newsletter if I PM my email address? Thanks!

So if we do the PAP before April deadline (wasn't going to, but price is great now).....do we get the vouchers? And do they not expire?

Eek, glad I got my tickets last week! Didn't think a price increase would be quite this soon!

Just bought our discounted DVC PAPs last week when we were at the World. Was going to wait to recover from that before buying my son's no expire-hopper until closer to our June cruise, but luckily, thanks to the price increase announcement on Disboards, I went immediately to Undercover Tourist and was still able to get his 6 day no expire hopper with the water park stuff for the old price. One of the many reasons I love UT and Disboards!

While checking out what the increases were (all the sources only listed the single-day prices), I discovered something interesting...not only does the web site only show the special offer price of $484 on the PAP (which is now $1 CHEAPER than the standard AP), but NO WHERE does it list any restrictions as to when it needs to be activated, up as far as just before checkout...

It's shown on the Membership Magic page (new main page).

New Annual Pass discounts available through April 30, 2014
Theme Park ticket discounts are the most-requested of all Member perks, and Disney Vacation Club is thrilled to deliver on that request with three Annual Pass discounts available for purchase starting February 6 through April 30, 2014.

Eligible passes include the Walt Disney World Premium Annual Pass (unlimited Park hopping at all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, two Water Parks, parking and no blockout dates), the Disneyland Resort Deluxe Annual Passport (315-day Park hopping at the two Disneyland Resort Theme Parks) and the Disney Premier Passport (unlimited Park hopping at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Theme Parks with parking, no blockout dates and more).

If you already have an Annual Pass that expires soon, here’s a little money-saving tip. Simply purchase your new discounted pass by April 30, 2014, and redeem when your current pass expires, anytime between now and Jan. 31, 2015.

Can anyone help me - am getting a little confused

Whats the best park hopper to Buy from UT (who have yet to raise their prices) if I was going to buy a Normal non premium DVC Annual pass- not the special offer one.

Am getting confused as I know you need to buy one that costs less, but is that after they bridge the price to the gate price.

E.G the 5 day no exp park hopper - no experation with UT is $490.95 but the price on all ears net is $558.06 - more than the DVC AP does this mean I cant bridge the ticket and need to choose a lower price one? Am really confused!!!

You only want to pick from those where they GATE price (the current full price, to which the ticket will be bridged) is less than that of the target ticket. And be sure to compare WITH tax - the UT prices are shown with tax, while WDW prices are often quoted without.

You then pick the one that has the greatest discount.

Note that you CAN pick a ticket that has the Water Park Fun and More option and upgrade that to the standard AP - but ONLY if you don't actually use one of the options on the ticket. If you use one of the options (i.e. go to a water park or DQ) you can ONLY upgrade to a ticket that includes that option (i.e. a Premium AP)

Thanks

so from what I can see if I buy a 5 day non hopper non expiring ticket from UT for $438.95, this is under the gate price of 494.16 and so can upgrade by paying the difference.

This to me seems the best ticket?
