Ticket Prices going up 6/01/03

I was at the Burlington Mass store to buy some Disney dollars today and mentioned the price increase to the CM who waited on me. She said she knew nothing about it.

I don't see what the advantage would be to keep ticket price increases hush-hush. WDW should be thrilled if everyone is rushing out to buy their passes in advance, that means they will be committed to a trip now or in the future. I've talked to DC line twice and TDS twice they all say the same thing, plus it is on the news ticker across the screen on MSNBC. Ticket prices will be raised at the gates in Florida only. I've been assured several times that annual passes will not be affected.

I'm just passing along what I was told over the phone today--several times by different CM's. I agree that it doesn't seem practical to keep it all hush, hush, but that is what is happening. Just thought I would help others out . I went ahead and purchased a hopper plus in case the rates do go up every where like I was told several times .

I just got off the phone with a very nice CM from DC. She read to me her information that she had in front of her. Effective tomorrow all ticket prices will increase at the Gate and at check-in. She said there was no mention of AP's. I said if I go to my TDS tomorrow and buy tickets they will be the same price as the day before and she said yes.

I finally spoke to a similiar CM. Evidently I got misinformation from 3 different CM's this morning.

All I can say is thanks for posting this in the first place and thanks to everyone trying to track down the correct info. I mean what if the prices were going up elsewhere--I wouldn't have known unless someone had posted it. So great job to the team effort of finding out any and all info!!!!!

Called TDC, asked about a price increase and the lady on the phone said the FLA residents,WDW Gate And Purchase at the Resorts.
The Disney Club discount is good for the PLUS PASSES.
Also THE DISNEY CLUB discount is better than the ADVANCE PURCHASE PRICING.
Sorry no help on the AP's.
I plan on going to TDS sunday and AAA on Monday
for follow-up.
Odd that the Disney Club hand book had 3 and 4 park passes for Disneyland like Universal and Sea World, usually they test market in CA. before implimenting in FLA.
