Ticket price increase

Just thought I'd bump this up since it really does seem that all tickets are going up January 2006. Luckily, I already have an AP for our Oct trip!

Looks like I will be getting an AP today!

We were planning on upgrading our Seasonal Passes to APs when we get there on the 2nd of January. Is it possible to upgrade over the phone or online before we get there (in other words, before the 1st, to avoid any possible price increase)?

The 3-day convention hopper tickets went up around $30 for 2006 plus they took off DQ as an option. Still have PI.

This was from the last Ticketmania newsletter:

"The Newsletter that comes out on Dec 15th, will most likely be the last Newsletter before the Disney Price Changes for the 2006 (usually changes sometime between Jan 1st - and Jan 4th). So it may a good idea to order them as soon as possible to beat the price changes. Please do not Call or Email asking what the 2006 prices are going to be, we do not get that info untill the day it happens."

I just answered my own question by calling the passholder line, and if anyone else wants to know, the answer was no. Apparently you have to do it at a guest relations window because they have to scan the seasonal passes first. I guess I'll just have to take my chances with the possible price increase.

By the time there is "hard information" it is typically too late to purchase them at the old price.

The "hard information" will be out in the next couple of days. I don't know exactly which date the new information will be released.

There is an annoucement at MouseSavers that ticket prices are going up "substantionally" on Jan. 1st.

MouseSavers isn't direct from Disney, but they are usually pretty reliable. I am SO glad I got my 10 day Non-Expiring Hopper for Christmas!

I'm not sure how solid the "Jan 1" date is though.

From years of watching Mousesavers, I would say with great confidence that if Mary says tickets are going up Jan 1 then they will go up. She doesn't usually post anything until it is a given unless she states she is not positive.

Ticketmania is reporting they no longer have admission to sell at the old prices.

We saved $118 by buying our five tickets last month. Whew!
