Ticket conversion question

We bought two day tickets because of our flight time on the last day. We just found out that AA changed our flight to 5pm, so I am thinking we might be able to sneak in some extra time on the third day. We bought 2 day passes from the Disney store, as there don't seem to be any "real" savings on the 2 day passes. Is it possible to convert to a three day if we decided to?

Sure, you just stop by the ticket window and add a day.

Since we haven't left yet, is there any way to get advance ticket pricing. From what I can tell off the website, adults are $169 advance purchase, but $189 at the gate (if I'm reading it right). I would love to save a little. Is it possible? Can I maybe exchange them at the Disney store with the receipt?
Thanks,
Melanie

Call your Disney Store and ask, the most they can say is no. I don't know because I've never done it before, when we buy PH's we buy the days we want, the only upgrades we do are to AP's. :)

Besides, with a 3 day hopper, you get Magic Morning early entry for one day. I bet you can do it at the Disney store.

Good point.

Make sure you confirm that you get MM when you upgrade & plan your visit accordingly.

(but if you're staying on site the MM benefit is irrelevent since you get it if staying on site).

& if even for only a couple of hours it's worth the upgrade from 2 to 3 days. (or 3 to 4 days etc.)

I just got off the phone with the Disney store. They said that they do not have the technology to upgrade the tickets there. She said there was no way to return and rebuy new tickets, but gave me the number for ticket purchases at the park. The lady there told me that you can only upgrade at the park. She also said there was no way to tell whether they would charge me the pre-purchase price or the regular gate price.

So, now the question is whether it is worth it or not. At pre-purchase price, 3 adult tickets (one child is considered "adult") and 2 kids tickets, the price difference would be $165. But, if they charge me full gate price, it is $265. $265 for part of an extra day doesn't seem worth it to me, but there is no way to know ahead of time. The lady at Disneyland said that it depends on if you get someone who wants to be nice that day!

Oh, well. I guess we will end of sticking with the 2 day. If only AA didn't change our flight...................................

You might be surprised, why not try it and see what happens. There are many people here that buy tickets from eBay and Craig's List.

You can always see what they say at the parks, too. Maybe you'll get a nice person and you'll get the pre-purchase price! If not, you could do a character b'fast and enjoy DTD. GL!!

I wouldn't sell them on ebay, too many issues with paypal and the post office does not like to insure tickets.

We were there mid May and when we asked about upgrading we had to pay the difference between the discounted price and regular disney ticket price, then the upgrade fee. It wasn't worth it.

Just a reminder to everyone that per Disneyland, tickets are non-transferable. Please do not discuss reselling of tickets on the DIS.

Thanks.
