DVC newbies here, in terms of tickets just wondering if we (2 adults and 10 yr old twins) should…

1. Wait to see if a member special comes out before our first trip the end of July (6 nights at OKW/AKV)
2. Buy from Undercover Tourist through Mousesavers discount link
3. Buy from UT then upgrade to DVC AP once on property (planning another 6 night trip for next April). Will they bridge the what we paid through UT?
4. Do YES program for small discount.

Welcome your advice and opinions. Thanks in advance!

Personally, I would buy the AP online and link it to My Disney Experience and go ahead and get fast passes. With 10 year old twins, having the FP for things you want would be worth more than any savings. But that's just me. On the other hand, you are well within the FP window for a July trip, so some of the options may be gone.

We buy from undercover tourist and that's what I'do for your trip. You can bridge the tickets towards the AP. There's no reason to really believe a ticket special is coming.

Do you know if you can you bridge the UT tickets to a DVC-discounted AP?

You're already past 60 days, so you won't have and advanced fast pass benefit. Since you want the AP, if just wait and buy it as late as you can. If a special comes along, you'll be able to take advantage of it.

If you had some more lead time, if say buy from UT and book your fast passes. Then, if a special comes along, save the tickets for a future trip. If not, then upgrade when you get there.
