Tiaras and Tantrums 08-- The Farewell. . . Will YOU join us next year?

Where were me and Mike that day? Is that when we went to DS to ride ToT and RR?

I think so. This is Sunday, the day we went to O'hana for dinner. Did anything fun happen without us?

The night before Phors and I went to the bar, just the two of us. The other two were being sissy like. Lots of people there so we thought we might have some fun. Ends up being convention people and all they cared about was networking.

Mike and I did go to DS, but first we looked around the resort.

TnT2008-069.jpg

Notice the Not Mine who got in our picture? This kid was climbing the braces to the canopy where you wait for the boats. SO NOT MINE!

TnT2008-070.jpg

Once at DS we enjoyed a lot of the street shows. Until the police made us leave because Flat Shuggie wasn't with us.

TnT2008-071.jpg

We rode our favorite ride, ToT and then RnR. Happy to see the warning for not falling out (or in my case, I thought it meant no dancing)

TnT2008-073.jpg

We went shhOOooopppPPPPing. Looking for Pluto stuff. Yeah, right. WDW doesnt' sell anything with Pluto on it.

We did do the backstage tour, which I thought would be lame but honestly they added some stuff from the billion other times I've rode.

Tried to get onto Toy Story Mania, nope. Fast passes all gone.

Tried to watch Little Mermain, nope. 45 minute wait. I don't wait for LM for 45 minutes.

Oh Mike got a Mike tattoo. Lasted about 6 hours.

At this point I believe we headed back to our room. I think. I don't know.

Dinner at O'Hana!:dance3: :woohoo: :yay: This was Kimmi and Mike's 20th Anniversary of sisterhood, killing their parents, dating the same guy or something or other. Not exactly sure what. But they wanted to have a special dinner. Since there was actually nothing special available they chose O'hana. And since Phors, Shuggie and I will celebrate anything we stalked our way in. We met up there since they had been off Anniversary Celebrating on rides all day, while Phors and I had been spending money. When we arrived, Kimmi and Mike had started the celebrating without us:

:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Count them. I think they had each had 2 drinks before we go there. But it was okay cause Kim wasn't drunk drunk. She was just working on drunk.

HELLO POLYNESIAN PEOPLE!

We got a nice table in the middle of the action with a view of the castle (well, if you craned your neck and squinted just right) But we were able to see the smoke coming off the volcano perfectly!

Shuggie needed a drink so she could try to catch up with Kimmi.

IMG_3444.jpg

Mike was working on hers

IMG_1765.jpg

We were starving so it was a good thing the food started hitting the table. Of course some were more hungry than others.

IMG_3445.jpg

IMG_3446.jpg

After that we stuffed ourselves. No food porn here, we were too busy eating. We were really disappointed because we wanted Hula lessons. First off the lady that usually does them was apparently off on Sundays and some guy was taking her place. Soooooooo not the same! And they were done hulaing by the time we got seated. All we got were some lousy stinking coconut races and a "Goodnight folks, tip your servers". I think Madame Hulalua or whatever her name is what have let us hula with her. We didn't even get leis. You know, we paid a lot of money for this vacation. . . .

Okay, there was a consolation though. It was a MNSSHP night at MK and they piped in the music for the fireworks. Since our view wasn't the best we scooted to an empty table by the window to watch. Those were some COOL fireworks. I am thinking the price of the ticket is worth it just for the fireworks alone.

See, Mike was thrilled!
IMG_3447.jpg

Okay, well Shuggie loved them.
IMG_3452.jpg

IMG_3451.jpg

After that we went back to our table to finish our dinner. We all agreed that the steak was the best of the skewered meats, but Kim felt that the Iowa Grain Fed beef was much better quality. Then they brought the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding--OMG it was to die for. If we ever eat here again we are asking them to bring it out first! We were so full but it was so yummy.

Dinner over and it is now our favorite time of the meal-- whip out your calculators gals, time to pay!

Okay, if we carry the 2, multiply by the square root of pi, subtract the cosign of 12 and use the quadratic equation I think that gives us the amount to tip. . .
IMG_3453.jpg

IMG_3454.jpg

Whoops, I hate it when my calculator starts ringing!

IMG_3455.jpg

What do you mean my Credit Card is denied! I paid a lot of money for this. . . oh. . . oops. . .

Shuggie had to pose for pics with our server, who we swore was ready to give birth at any minute!

IMG_1766.jpg

And then she went to give her compliments to the chef. Apparently she told him he was smokin hot and he misunderstood her and thought SHE wanted to be smokin hot.

IMG_1767.jpg

IMG_1768.jpg

I always tell her that her flirting will get her in trouble. Lets just say that plastic laminate and extreme heat are NOT a good combination. She was a bit curled on the edges--but I don't think the laminate will ever separate now. She escaped another brush with death. I was starting to think she might be a cat! After that she hotfooted it over to pay homage to the Tiki God for her survival.

IMG_1769.jpg

Oh Scrappy it's like being there all over again!! :rotfl2: I miss you girls!

BTW, it was 20 years for Mike and I since the first time we went to WDW just the sisters. I think the celebrating ended for me that night, lol.

We hustled her out of there and then all decided to part ways. Phors was feeling very tired and sore so she wanted to go back to the room and lie down. Kim and Mike wanted to go to the Contemporary to look in the gift shops there. I wanted to look around the Poly shops and then was going to head to the Contemporary also. But for now it was just Shuggie and I. But she didn't have shOOOOOOOping on her mind. She was still feeling warm from that fire and wanted to cool off. You won't believe what she did!

She HOPPED into the Poly pool!

IMG_3459.jpg

IMG_3461.jpg

After a liesurely back stroke she was cooled off and then said she had a need. .

A need for speed!

WHAT? I ain't getting on no bus with Keanu! Besides that is over at DTD! What do you mean?

She meant that she wanted to drive a Sea Raycer. Well, how much more trouble could she get into??

IMG_3464.jpg

Unless she decides to try to jump the dock and doesn't quite make it!

IMG_3463.jpg

Since that was apparently a bit TOO much speed for her she decided to slow it down and hitch a ride in a basket of a Surrey.

IMG_3466.jpg

She would have gotten a lot further if she had picked one with a driver. . .

IMG_3465.jpg

I dragged her back inside and ran smack into a very frantic Phors!
thflaminghead-runner.gif
She had been on on her way back to the hotel when she realized that she didn't have Shuggie. She forgot that I had taken back custody and was afraid she had lost her somewhere. After that whole trash and fire incident, she couldn't lose her! She had been trying to call me but I have the worlds crappiest cell service and never got the calls. The Volcano probably interfered with my reception! Poor Phors had come back and retraced her steps in a panic while Shuggie was lounging in the pool and having fun.

Seeing that she was safe and sound, we all set off for the resort. Monorail to the MK then bus to the Dolphin. As we walked from the monorail to the bus stops Flat Shuggie decided to CRASH Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!

IMG_3478.jpg

IMG_3479.jpg

IMG_3485.jpg

We did get some cool pics while waiting for her
IMG_3476.jpg

IMG_1783.jpg

IMG_1784.jpg

And then Shuggie found nirvana! Forgot the Poly Pool, this was the Ghirardelli Pool!
(yes Shug, I do remember that you don't like chocolate, but who could resist this opportunity!)

IMG_1775.jpg

IMG_3468.jpg

Backstroke!
IMG_1776.jpg

It was obviously time to get Flat Shuggie back to the hotel and safely into bed. We had a quiet ride back to the resort and a good night's sleep.

Which was a good thing, because we were going to need it. . .

Man...there's nothing worse than paying alot of money for a vacation and not getting leied. :lmao: :lmao:

I can't go on until I know that the Queen has read this installment. . . Are you there Shug???

I can't go on until I know that the Queen has read this installment. . . Are you there Shug???

Yes I have, just in the midst of a serious fibro flare :guilty: :sad1: I'm reading but not spending enough time to respond the past few days. PLEASE...DO CONTINUE!!!!! :yay:

Too funny! I just came over here to look for the thread. I have been busy but hope to get some time tonight to work.:surfweb:

Monday was another late day for Phors and I. Kim and Mike were always able to get up and get going much faster than we were. But hey, we paid a lot for this vacation, so if we wanted to sleep in that was our right!

So the early risers went on to do some sister bonding. Can't remember if they were going to MK or Studios but Phors and I were taking Shuggie to Magic Kingdom.

Isn't she beautiful in front of the castle?

IMG_1797.jpg

IMG_3489.jpg

We rode Haunted Mansion and the ghosts tried their hardest to get Shuggie stay and be number 1000 and when we refused one ghost tried to hitchhike home with us!

IMG_3496-1.jpg

We got out safely and saw the Liberty Square Riverboat just disembarking. Phors and I had never been on the boat and decided this was a great time to go. It was a rather chilly day so we were a bit cold out there on the deck, but it was fun to go around and see the sights, like the back of Thunder Mountain, some College Program Housing, and the animals that had apparently been banished from AK.

Deer and Moose were not good enough for Animal Kindom apparently:

IMG_1806.jpg

IMG_1814.jpg

BUT WAIT! Maybe there is another reason those animals are here?

LOOK WHO WE FOUND!!!

IMG_1821.jpg

IMG_1823.jpg

:scared1: Do you see it? Now we are really curious. Animals that you don't see in Animal Kingdom right where Wilson apparently lives. We now think that Wilson IS the poacher!!! Can you get fingerprints off of a baby elephant?

Well after that stunning revelation we needed something a bit more low key and we needed to replace the disturbing thoughts of Wilson poaching poor Big Red. What better way to get something else annoying into our heads than to ride It's a Small World! And Shuggie was looking forward to people more her size. What follows are a bunch of gratuitous attempts to get good photos of her.

Here she is saying good bye to the ride Operator.

IMG_3498.jpg

LOOK! It's the Royal Guards playing Hail to the Queen as we pass!

IMG_1832.jpg

Shuggie just had to join in with the American Dancers

IMG_3501.jpg

And she LOVES to do the hula. Especially since she didn't get to do it at the Poly!

IMG_3511.jpg

Here she was flirting again and tried to pick up a Cowboy.

IMG_3510.jpg

Excuse the blurryness, we were just so excited! We got to see our good friends the Frogs!

IMG_3508.jpg

IMG_3509.jpg

Time to say Good bye, or Auf Wiedersehen, Proschi, Adieu, Adios, Shalom. . .

IMG_3515.jpg

When we left the ride Shuggie then got a once in a paperdoll lifetime experience! She met with a member of the Dream Team!

IMG_1831.jpg

For being the only Flat Queen Shuggie to ever visit WDW she won a Year of a Million Dreams Pin!

Not much could top the day we had already had, but we did take the Queen on The Jungle Cruise:

IMG_3492.jpg

And I just had to get a picture of her with my favorite part, the backside of water!

IMG_3493.jpg

(hey, don't take it for Granite, you will get it in the end. . . );)

After we had done a few of the rides we needed to head to Studios and meet up with Kim and Mike. We all really wanted to see Fantasmic. It was awesome as always. We did meet a great family in front of us in the bleachers with a very spirited boy-- NOT MINE! -- and it was his birthday. We had a lot of fun talking with them.

Only one picture from here:

IMG_1857.jpg

But stick around. Things are about to get GOOD!

After Fantasmic Kim and Mike wanted to go to Downtown Disney or Epcot or Magic Kingdom, or somewhere, I was losing track of where they kept running off to. Honestly I was beginning to think maybe there was something up between them and Wilson!

Phors was feeling very tired and sore. She had been pushing herself hard all week and her legs and back were were very sore and she was really wanting to go back to the room and lie down.

Okay, this was a problem. This was a HUGE problem.:scared1: I was already doing my best to keep this little group together for the rest of the evening and had failed to convince Kim and Mike to stay with us. Now Phors wanted to bail on me. I had to come up with SOMETHING.

 DRINKS! :drinking1 Surely Phors wouldn't turn down a drink at the Boardwalk would she? In fact the bus could just drop us off there and we could avoid the hotel completely. Great Plan!

And she went for it!!:yay:

See, I have left one HUGE detail out about this day.:rolleyes1 I had a secret! :ssst: I had been contacted by someone that wanted to join us. :cool2: But they wouldn't be able to make it until later that night and really wanted to be able to surprise everyone in a BIG WAY. Crashing at the hotel would really ruin it.

I had to keep Phors out with me for a little while longer, it was for her own good . . . .

:lmao: I just spent the last hour reading & catching up, and y'all are killing me! Flat Shug sure gets around!:worship:

Carry on!
