Hi - I remember a while ago seeing a lot of discussion about the noise of the boats near BWV and realized that there is a boat dock near many of the treehouse villas. Will noise be an issue? Do they blow their horn early in the morning and late in the evening?

Thanks!

I don't think that the launches use their horns as a general rule when coming in to dock like the Friendship boats do.

The boats going by THV do not blow their horns as they go by. :sail:

And even if they did, most of the villas would have minimal impact, they are in the woods and not "near" the canal. The woods would dampen most of the noise from the canal area....

This was not an issue when I was there.

But I did see a "snake" in the woods, but it was a small one.

NO posting about THV snakes until after my visit! If I put my hands over my eyes and go "la-la-la" will it work?;)

No horn blowing along the river, however, ask my sister about the Friendship boat horn blowing when the stayed at the Dolphin! She was crazy from listening to them all day and half the night.

Snakes shouldn't really be an issue so I wouldn't worry too much.

The alligators eat them! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Remeber Disney leaves the Gators in Disney until they reach 6 feet long...

From what I understand, in the past, when they got larger, they had a tendancy to climb the stairs. At 6 feet they can only reach the grill.

We were in the one right by the dock when we stayed in them and we never heard anything.

Don't believe the boats even start running until around 11am.

Could someone confirm if this is true? Do the boats follow Downtown Disney's schedule? I had assumed they ran during daylight hours.
