Thursday Morning Press Conference

The big annoucements will be released at a press conference on Thursday morning.

BMG is certainly one as Central Florida News Channel 13 confirmed today.

iVillage Live was also announced today.

Fortunately, for those who enjoy rides more than shows, you too will be happy in the morning.

You know I was really excited for about 5 mins before I realized that they haven't announced the replacement for Back to the Future yet.

Im not saying it's replacement wont be a good ride, but I dont think its going to be anything incredibly unique.

So has the announcement already occured yet? I was expecting to hear something about the replacement for BTTF. Considering how the ride in Orlando is running and now its being reported that one half of the Hollywood ride has shutdown its obvious that the rides are being torn out to get the new attraction built as quickly as possible.

sorry, but there was a very last minute decision to delay the announcement. the bmg people finally insisted on getting exclusive coverage for their new addition.

the good news is that the attraction remains on track though with technology that exceeds mummy and rivals spiderman while not requiring a super high height restriction (similar to spiderman's low height restriction) and not being a gut bomber.

it will be announced in conjunction with the hotel announcements later.

Hotel Announcements? First I heard of this.
Blue Man Group is coming, thats all over the place as of now. That was the biggest of the big announcements. It plans to be open in the old Nickelodeon Building starting June of 07.
Dont know about the rest of them....though I will be asking on Saturday.

"later" will probably be determined by how quickly things proceed forward with Loew's.

since the attraction is more than 12 months from completion, the interest in announcing it before gault left was trumped by other considerations.
